I'll check on those. Found em. They have a 2.5" collector. Do you recall if you increased the pipe size after the collector?

an update on this one would be cool-

Hey there,

Well, I'm thoroughly impressed with the rig. I've put less than 3k on her so far. There is an A/C leak, which made driving in southern Oregon summertime heat not very attractive, and I was extremely busy over the summer, so I didn't get around to fixing it.

For the first couple thousand miles, I was not aware that the Unichip(Flux2) control module had different MAP tunes on it, 5 levels actually. So, when I noticed that, after getting familiar with the manual, I bumped it up to #3. It made a world of difference!!

Way better acceleration!! It's pretty unstoppable!! No problem passing........unless your EFI fuse blows.....tehehe.....lost power and died....towed to shop and replaced.....shyoo

We had 16" of snow at the start of this month and it was totally comfortable and at home easily cruising through it.

But, ya, I'm so happy with this Lx, it is a fabulous ride and has all the power I need......for now.

Hoping to install an intercooler and a Snow performance water/methanol system before the winter is over.

Since I began driving it I installed some 4" Superflex Radius Arms too.

You know, I said I'm very impressed with the rig, and I am, but it's really not as impressive as my turbo diesel trucks or cars, as far as acceleration goes.

I have two Dodge 1st Gen Cummins diesel trucks, both built, the 4wd club cab having a built engine with twins, both with NV4500's.

I also have VW TDI's an '03 and '15, the '03 has major mods including a huge GTB 2260vk turbo and so much more to handle the power...

All of the diesels are better aspirated and the acceleration is so much faster and smoother.

Therefore, I have spent the last two days studying........scottryana is my newest inspiration and I hope to be building my '97 Lancdruiser Turbo 1FZ-FE in the coming months.

A 1fz is a great motor. It handles a turbo well. Have you considered a ls swap instead though?. They too can handle a lot of forced induction but in addition you get far more aftermarket support with a ls motor. A twin turbo ls would look nice in a 80.

Hey White Stripe, thanks for your input. That's something to seriously consider actually! I have an LS motor and transmission and have been intending to put it in a '01 LX470. I've yet to see a turbo or twins on a v8 yet.....

Do you have any links that you can share?

The nice thing about twin turbo ls is u can just flip the stock exhaust manifolds and u have instant turbo manifolds. It's also easier to rout the exhaust.
