BTW I got the parts from Phil "BamaBleach". Any updates on a wrenching Day?
I won't be at the meeting next week I'll be packing for the "Cruiser Crawl" in Arkansas. I'll bring the parts to our wrenching session which better be sooner than later .

Yep, Dates are looking like Oct 24, 31, and Nov. 8 in Norcross. There will probably be a few more thrown in for good measure toward Thanksgiving on "as needed" basis.

The truck should be done at the body shop hopefully in time for the Annual (crossing fingers here) and we hope to have on-site. Then it's time to get this thing done!!!!

I would just assume put money on your truck Sidney. As long as your Longs show up and you let me drive.

Just went by the body shop, they're still plugging away and hope to have it complete and delivered to the Annual this weekend.

Ted,
How is the parts situation looking? (still have a shortage list?) Also the pictures from the body shop still show the dented door. Is that presenting any problems to change your plans?

Thanks

I believe they repaired the original door rather than replacing because of the electric windows and locks...

Ok. Sounds counter intuitive with such a large dent which would require a lot metal work followed by bondo (or completely reskinning the door) to get to the final result that would be on par with the rest of the truck. However, the experts are in the body shop ...

Truck will be out of the body shop tomorrow woohooo!!!!!

These guys did a great job!!!!

Friday it should have tires on and hopefully will be at the Annual for this weekend. I managed to get 2 quick pics right after they started heating up the paint booth.

Ohhhh....shiney!!!!

So, I can imagine that after today's decision about Tellico, folks are feeling a little discouraged about this project. Please let me ASSURE everyone that we need this truck more than ever now. We now have confirmation that short of a law suit, the FS is not going to listen to us. Well, fine then. We'll see 'em in court.

But to do that, you know what we need...letters for the appeal and money for the lawyers. Keep up the giving and keep up the building, you are all doing a great job! We ARE GOING TO WIN!!!

The cruiser looks pretty as a Tellico waterfall!!!

The location for the work days on the FJ62 has been changed due to scheduling conflicts with the original shop. The work day that is scheduled for this weekend will now be held at Offroad-Outfitters starting at 9AM Saturday October 24th. A map is linked below.

Offroad Outfitters | Full-service 4WD Shop for the Offroad Enthusiast

We also have work days scheduled for October 31 and November 8 so please come out and help with the raffle truck.

My daughter can't wait to drive it!
