Just got home with the 62, GREAT JOB ACC!!!!!

The truck drove like a dream for the 45 mile trip. Ran it all the way home at 65-70 humming at 2300 Rpm the whole way. It felt like I could've put it on cruise control and driven it to Moab.

With that thought I've decided to keep the truck and tell all you guys to pound salt. Thanks for the truck and the money, it will put a lot of gas in the tank!! :flipoff2:

Just kidding. I sent out PM's to several folks regarding donor parts, if you did not receive a PM from me it's b/c I either have not gotten to you yet or b/c I need input from the body shop so stay tuned.

just a little taste of some goodies we've received so far

Dropped the truck at the body shop today. Give Neal at ANH Collision Specialists (Dawsonville, Ga. 706-216-0992) about +/-3 weeks and we're gonna have a great looking truck. Thanks Neal

There's also rumor of a custom front bumper coming, details in the near future.

There apparently is an announcement coming about Tellico sometime very soon. From what I have gathered the news has been anticipated for quite some time and SFWDA has prepared for the news to be unfavorable. I say again, as indicated in other threads SFWDA expects to receive bad news and has prepared appropriately for it. DO NOT be deterred!!

you can call the Forest Service at (828) 257-4200.

This is very interesting reading: http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=809684

The Raffle continues with even more importance

Did you guys get the belts and hoses? Nolen Grogan shipped them to the address on the raffle tickets. I don't have my tickets with me so I don't know if that is the address Ben gave me.

My daughter can't wait for me to win "her" first Cruiser!

Later,

Let me try this again since things got reset today.

Here's the link to the 1989 FJ62 I'm parting out.

tkinze, if you could PM me that list again that would be great.

From what I could remember:
Not sure if this is completely gray or not. Looks to have a blue tint. I got the thing for the motor so I really haven't paid much attention to the inside. Maybe someone who knows 62's well enough can chime in.

Has this list changed. Just want to make sure I'm not doubling up.

I dont have much left at the shop to donate and we never did much with Toyotas but I do have a new high lift jack cover, some quickfist brand rubber tiedowns(great for securing the fire extinguisher, flashlights, etc), and my own, personal, highly experienced reciever hitch tow hook. It was used a lot on my yellow jeep cherokee which does have the same boxy shape as the cruiser so I'm pretty sure it would work good. :)

If that will help. Its in a box here on the shelf. All I need is someone to stop by and pick it up. IF I come up with the extra money I will ship it but we're lucky to keep the lights on right now. It is very certain that my business is closing and I cant wait just to be an OHV enthusiast again. To all the businesses and clubs helping out you have my thanks and respect.

hold onto that stuff, we'll definitely take you up on the offer, Thanks!!

I know it's a trip for you but you're not going to the truck show this weekend are you? Maybe through the grapevine I can get someone in the area to shuttle it down this way. I'll put some feelers out and get back with you when I have a volunteer.

No shows for me. My suburban is down right now with a bad tag and insurance. The saturn sl2 takes me as far into tellico as a rig on 35's right now so its not a priority. The stuff will be here. Maybe someones going wheeling in Beasley Knob area sometime soon.
