Furthermore, it was won by a "local" Josh (who posted up early in this thead) in SC.

Not to split hairs Heather but Josh lives in NC :grinpimp::doh:

So the old trans and case had about completely destroyed the splines on the trans output shaft and gear so we weren't able to get everything reassembled on Saturday. No big deal because the shaft on the new trans was perfect so all we had to do was give Toyota a call and we had a new $200 gear by Wednesday. Either way I got everything reassembled last night and it is all ready to go back in the 62.

Also a big thanks to Ben for donating the rebuild kit as well as his time on Saturday to help with the disassembley and cleaning.

When you need the rear passenger door, give me a shout since I don't make your meetings. Plus I have been out of town most of this past month so I may have missed a previous request.

Also, the support for and focus on this project appears to be in great shape. Congratulations.

Michael, Brian--You guys rock! Thanks for all the help and a hand to Ben as well. We're really looking forward to getting going on this truck to add the "bling" factor.

Larry-Work has kept me busy as well so I've not been able to give this the attention it needs the last few weeks. I'll certainly let you know about the door in the very near future.

If I can gather up some extra cash I will try and help out with some of the smaller things or just send it to yall and yall do what you need with it. I loved Tellico. Only been once the first time I met the Ga Cruisers and fell in love with the place. Was hoping for the Spring ride but never opened..I hope ll this helps gets this place back open.

That is if I ever get my piece of purple glass:rolleyes:;)

We got about 4 1/2 months.
Not trying to be a ball buster here, but what's the status of the rig. When is it going to be moved? when is the next wrenching session? what's the schedule?

UPDATE: 7/30/09

Talked to Brian today, the last replacement parts are all in and due to be installed early next week. Once that is complete we'll have a drivable truck and then ready for the body shop. Josh has about 4 dates set aside already stretching into October for build days but I'll let him provide the details for that.

For those who have pledged parts, Thank you so much for the contributions and support!!!! I will be in touch very shortly in hopes of getting these parts delivered ASAP. If anyone has any questions about where to send please let me know.

Belts and hoses are being donated by the "CottonLand Cruisers"
should be here this week.

Can't Thank you guys enough many 's to ya see ya'll in October.

Im going to work on it right now. It should be running and driving by the end of the day.

Looking good. I only have fj60 parts lying around. If there is anything that you can use off of a 2F let me know. If the rear bumper you have does not pan out, I have a very nice stock rear.

4:57 and I just got back from a quick Test Drive and everything seems to be good to go. We can give it back to you guys tomorrow at the GA Cruiser Meeting if you would like to move it on to Phase II.

Thanks Michael,

I'm working on getting it temporarily insured so I can drive it back to my house this evening The body shop is very near my house so it makes sense to work it this way. I'll be in touch before the end of business.
