That finish looks plenty smooth to chrome if you really wanted the original shiny look. Great price to get it printed out of 316.
Just found these guys and they have a polished option on their stainless print.

Interesting. I couldn't find any photos of their "mirror polished" stainless but it would certainly be cool if they can do that. They must polish it after it's printed?

That link just takes me to the CraftCloud material guide.
Does someone have the handle actually loaded in there?

Nik posted the instructions how to upload here☝️

I don't know if they have always offered that service but I just discovered they offer the parts I'm assuming buffed to a mirror finish and thought I would share here.
In the second link I posted they show shiny parts.

I decided to try having one of these 3D printed to see the quality. My understanding of 3D printing metals is that there are several methods, with the best quality involving a laser to fuse powder and the least being similar to a consumer style 3D printer that fuses 2 filaments together. The later requires post processing in the form of baking it to a certain temperature - or at least that is what was explained to me.

The Craftcloud link above sends the file to several suppliers that provide a real time quote based on the file you upload. It appears that all of my quotes were from China, and the one I selected was in Hongkong. My cost for 3D printing and shipping was $149.25, and thanks to tariffs I had to pay an additional $58 once Fedex had it stateside.

I went with the matte unfinished option and am glad I did, as it will require some fine tuning for my tastes.
The quality seems good and it feels like it's well made.
The fit is a bit off - and I should have taken a better picture. The gap between the fixed portion and the movable handle is inconsistent and will require some filing and sanding to line up better.
It seems the heating process has slightly shifted the rear pivot mounts that attach to the fixed portion.

Overall I'm happy with it. Will it replace the quality of an original handle? Not with the technology they are using today - maybe in the future.

I'll finish it off to adjust the gaps and have it powder coated. I wouldn't suggest paying for the shiny finish, as you'll likely need to fine tune it to fit better.

So to me, this is a solid option for people not wanting to pay for an original handle.
