It's useable. The threads have a slight slant to them if that's what your looking for. They are good/brand new never used but not the right size for the motor I have. We bought an FJ 55 1976 from a family friend and he gave us a truck load of boxes and more boxes of parts that he had been collecting for 15+ years. I dont even know what we have...just sifting through one box at a time.

yeah so looks like he is showing the gear I am selling. The one I need has a bigger center hole.

Can you get some better pictures of the brass gear, from this angle it doesn’t look usable.

Sure. It's useable. The threads have a slight slant to them if that's what your looking for. They align with my original gear except the center hole is too small. They are good/brand new never used. You have the original factory gear center section still stuck you your gear shaft. That would be the piece that is the shape of your gear center hole. remove that piece and see if one of your gears will work for you..

yeah that is what my friend and I were talking about doing, it will work from what I can tell, but supposedly there is a guy selling the nylon gears for my shaft so I was hoping to just order the ones I need without having to modify. Maybe we will just end up doing that...thanks for the feedback appreciate it!!. I have like 3 rear window regulators with the motor but all the gears are broke ugh. I hear epoxy works wonders too lol

also do you know of any good websites where I can order window stripping?...thanks

that brass is perfect for you to use.
I’m skeptical that 3D printed brass gear is usable, Evan mentioned he was having QC issues with his 3d printed brass gears and looking at the photos of this one the teeth look wonky and I’m betting it will take a bit of hand work to get it to run smooth.

With that said if I already had it sitting on my bench and needed a gear I would certainly give it a try but I wouldn’t pay $80 for the opportunity to spend a day messing around with small files.

Update , the early style with the 2 slots , and the later style , i had bolth made out of steel , and aluminum
1) nylon pa 12 is 100 % true to the factory dimensions , and should outlast the life of the truck
2) aluminum is 100 % true to the factory dimensions , and is a upgrade to the nylon
3) steel is a FAIL , multiple attempts , are undersize and or warped ,distorted
4) brass is a FAIL , several attempts are undersize , teeth are to large
Not having any knowledge in this area , something in the binding process of the meal is causing issues ,beyond my skill set .
Sticking wit the nylon or the aluminum will produce the most favorable results .

So today I stacked the brass gear on top of the original gear and you are correct. The brass one appears to be smaller than the white gears. Thanks for the feedback.

ahhh I just realized what you were saying. The original gears came with the center piece and it just broke off...that makes sense!! Now I have to figure out how to get that snap ring off. I may need to invest in some snap ring pliers. Any tricks to getting it off easily?. Learning as I go!

With these gears being very difficult to hunt down I came up with a simple solution that isn't a 100% repair but more of a longterm bandaid until either myself or someone else can reproduce them.
As long as the od gear teeth and hub isn't completely destroyed this has been successful.
I use a heavy washer that fits in the recess of the gear with a little work. IIRC it's a washer from a 3/4" masonry floor anchor.
OD is great, the ID needs to open a bit.
Both sides of the gear are the same and will work either way. The removable cover has a guide plate and the inner has a smaller flat surface near the hub where it rides. The washer trick will only work with it in this orientation.
Some careful location of saddling the cracks and some countersink wood screws will keep it flat.
