Well finished fixing the rusty fenders pretty happy with how it turned out.
Also been thinking of paint colors.
Thinking these are my colors for the pig.

Do you remember what you used to seal the inside?

Well that's the thing, on my last pig I didn't do the best job and the rust came back. I didn't know enough back then and I cut through both the inner and outer lip but if I had my time again I would've drilled the spot welds under the lip and just cut out the outer skin (had a donor fender on hand). Even with the way I did it I probably could've sealed the back better but I was lazy....nowadays I'd also pull the back cargo panels and use tectol mixed with lanolin (so it sprays better) and coat the crap out of the inside.
Hope you learn from my mistakes!!!

Thanks yeah this has been one of learning curve for sure. Any advice is greatly appreciated. When I cut into the fender the inner fender had to also be repaired.

Seem like the more prep I do the more prep I still have left to do, but that is one thing I have learned so much with this rig, amazing to think that it has taught me to be patient, a problem solver, but most of all that everything happens for a reason.

I think that means you are doing your prep correctly!

What happened to this string? Poor me. I just bought a couple of 1973 pigs and one has a Ford 302 V8 already in it. The adapter, bell housing, transmission, transfer case, pto gear and pto winch were in boxes in the back. I have work to do.
