@scrapdaddy is correct. They're awesome quality I have mine sitting in a box along with almost a full weatherstripping kit that I purchased all together. Dreaming of the day that I'm ready for paint and body.

If anybody wants to see $2,000 of rubber in a box with mirrors let me knowlol:rofl::rofl::rofl::bounce2::bounce2:

@USMC22 just a few left

For the record there is no better rear view mirror of any Cruiser model as the FJ55 mirror.

Yeah I only wish somebody else had thought of it before they ran out of rear bumper ends. I'd pay an inflated price for a pair of those.

FWIW, demand is what keeps these old parts in production. If guys keep buying them, Toyota will keep supplying them. Once the demand dries up, so does the supply. Once that happens we are all glad to know somebody has horded NOS parts for sale at an inflated price. Its community service.

PM me. I think I have an extra set. I will have to go down to the warehouse and look.

Thanks for the offer. The piggie that I had in mind for them parted ways with me nearly a decade ago. I'm sure someone else would love them though.

Is there a particular reason for that? I've always thought that those #$%^ing caps were one of the worst things Toyota has ever designed, and I can't imagine, even for a purist restoring a FJ55, would have anything to do with those, even with some sort of reinforcement.

Smarter guy than me doesn't call them caps...instead they're "rear quarter panel damage multipliers." I've had that experience with a freshly refurbed rear bumper and freshly painted Pig.
Some folks find a solid front bumper and put it on the rear.

Never been a fan of those things myself, but I’m far from a purist. The FJ55 is a unique platform for a rig, but the factory was far, far from any sort of pinnacle of engineering. That’s my opinion of course and veers far from the discussion of mirror availability.
