Pulled from a 1983 FJ45; but will fit most FJ40's. This is an original Toyota radiator.

I needed to repair / plug some holes in my radiator. So I asked a local radiator "specialist" to plug the holes & weld a new drip drain connector, pressure test it, and re-paint it. Unfortunately, he used the "wrong" paint and I lost 2-3C delta on the heat transfer and resulted in my engine over-heating. Eventually, I just replaced the radiator. All you have to do is strip the old paint and re-paint it with the "right" paint.

Radiator is located in Toronto, Canada. Best price + SH.

did the rig this came from have factory A/C?

So they painted over bent fins? That sounds like more of the problem than paint
you really need to feel it, its very heavy / thick. yes, there are bent fins...40 years of abuse...but I never had an over heating issue before. And that includes driving in the summer heat of Doha.

The dimensions of the radiator are as follows :
  • Width (flange-to-flange) : 22" [560mm]
  • Height-1 : 20.5" [520mm]
  • Height-2 : 21.25" [540mm]
  • Thickness : 3.25" [80mm]
  • Inlet & Outlet Diameter : 1.5" [40mm]

This was pulled from my FJ45 which had a factory AC. I drove my FJ45 in Qatar during the summer, (typically +45C) with no overheating issues. I dont know if this was the "larger" Toyota radiator version, but dont understand why Toyota would install a small radiator for a vehicle in the desert.

The reason I had to change it, was that I got the shop in Toronto to weld a brass fitting instead of the plastic drain cock. The radiator dude also painted the radiator, but I suspect the paint was old / very thick; ie it was a poor job. I lost 2-4 C in the heat transfer which was too much for the overall system. I replaced the radiator from my FJ40, and the overheating issues were gone!!! The radiator was pressure tested and there are no leaks.

Hope this answers the questions.
