Ha! Cool to see this truck on this thread! I need to work on the thread I started for it.

I'm in absolute love with this truck. I've probably spent 2 hours sitting in it in the shop.

Parked it in front of my office so I can stare at it :)

I'll get back on that thread this week 👍

@77CJ5 thanks for posting this. Looks like Lake Saiful Mulluk in Northren Pakistan (Kaghan Valley). Though CJ7's (LWB) were more popular with the civilian pop' of the area. "Eden Land Tuck Shop" a.k.a snack bar at the Coke sign.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but this image has never been posted? One of my favorite photos from Four Wheeler Magazine (September, 1977 issue). Man, I remember drooling over this photo in younger days. Tru-Tracs rule! It would be six months later that I purchased my first FJ40. I had this photo pinned to my bulletin board (see tack mark(s) at top of photo) for many years. I think, but am not sure, that this photo was taken on the Rubicon Trail - or if not, somewhere in the Sierra Nevada. Looks like it was 100 degrees that day! All feedback welcome!

Find the front 40 interesting. Guessing has a Chevy V8. The Ram off a Dodge was popular at the time. Looks to be a late 63 production FHT. Love the fancy windshield tie down. Appears the wiper arms are laying directly on the hood. Was just happy to be able to afford a used FJ40 that the idea of treating it like that never even crossed my mind. I used it but didn't abuse it.

Amazing Cruiser heritage pics,
thank you mate for posting!

Wait- are those 15” rims on a UAE fj40? I thought USA got 15s and the rest of the world got 16” splits
I think the rest of the world had the option of either a 15” steelie or 16” split. I know with the 60s there were three options, 15” 60 series rims, 70 series 16” rims, or splits.
