It is just the stock gm tbi ecm. I just reprogram the chip inside of it.Sorry for asking something that is probably in the thread somewhere...what engine management are you using
I ordered it from aqualu. The price is just within my reach and they have been pretty great with working with me on doing some custom stuff on it.Very cool. Who did you order the tub from?
Thanks! I thought they seemed cool. Here they are:I like those shackles man, where did you get them from?
Thanks! I've thought about covering the holes but they've only held me up a few times over the years. So they will probably not get closed up for now.I love how accommodating aqualu is when it comes to slight mods like they are doing for the wheel opening ... nice job on the basket/carrier as well
Are you planning on covering the skid plate on the bottom? Where I'm from it would get hung up with openings that large
Great job on the build ... you got some good vision for her
Thanks. Nothing wrong with stock, 40s are getting rare so it's the best route to go to retain value. Your build is coming a long nice and is going to last a long time. Mine hasn't been stock for a long time. I like to camp and 4wheel with it in addition to daily driving it when its nice out. So thats why its built up. It is quite the experience wheeling a 40 these days since its almost exclusively jk wranglers or jeep cherokees out their, sometimes some 4runners or pickups. If you run into other jeeps on the trail in a 40 its almost akward. I drove by a group of jeeps airing up and they are all out of their jeeps talking and hanging out. I pull up in a 40 and everybody stops what their doing and just stare at it lol. Last time I was on the trail my friends wife said she overheard one of the jeepers say to another, "Thats a real original fjcruiser, thats too clean to be out here." Its like Im riding a black rhino or something haha.I admire your fearlessness and vision when it comes to fabrication and modification of your rig. You obviously have good tools and work environment which always helps but the end product shows off your ability and skill. Ive enjoyed reading about your modifications; it is a different world than I live in (call me Mr. Stock, from the factory, boring, etc.) but I have a lot of respect for anyone that puts so much time and effort in to their work. Looking forward to any future tweaks you come up with. . .
