I don't know where it came from, and it doesn't have a destination right now.

Pro'lly pretty stale inside by now; could use freshening up with a "mint"...

How long has it been sitting in Phoenix?
I snagged it from @LandCruiserPhil in September I think... with plans for Oct/Nov meeting with a San Diego bunch. We could never get a date to align... and now it's April. I don't know how long Phil had it before I snagged it.

Going through Minnesota?

I'll bring what I think is tool box #2 to Cruise Moab... ANYONE can take it where ever they choose from there. It'll arrive in a 100 series not a 40. Time to get it moving again.

What ever happened to Hecrod (OP). ?

Is anyone willing to take this thing if I drag it down? As much fun as it would be to have clanging around for a week on the rocks I'd like to make sure it will go to the next cruiser-head.

I think the issue here is that this has lost momentum... we can hand it off one at a time but it doesn't have the coordinated feel it originally did.

I wonder if a new thread would help... or if life can somehow otherwise be breathed back into it.

If anyone that was involved in this there is a new one starting next week at Cape Flattery in Washington State with the hopes of it making it to Key West after visiting the southwest corner of the US and then maybe to New England and back to me. It would be cool to maybe pick up the original batons and bring them along for the ride. Last I heard the briefcase was in Utah and the toolbox was in eastern Canada. Open to all Land Cruisers this time with as much FJ40 participation as possible.

Can someone confirm the location of these and see if we can connect with them? I'd love to get them back on the road again

I would like to participate. Please plan on me for traversing southern idaho.

Hey, I just had an idea. If someone can get one of the original batons and trade it to whoever is carrying the new one that starts here on Saturday they can move the opposite direction.

Needs to be verified, but these are the locations of the three batons:

- @Honger has the briefcase in Peoria, AZ

- @REZARF has the tan toolbox in Bozeman, MT

- @Awl_TEQ has the red toolbox in Calgary

Any idea who has it in Utah? I'd love to take it to the museum for a visit :D

I can confirm on the briefcase... I've tried twice to move it west to CA, to no avail.

Happy to make a meet up for it to join the new @myquestoyota trek. Do you have a planning thread I can jump in and coordinate.
