Need a cover for my permanently topless FJ40 (full metaltech cage).

Coolcruisers has one for $100. I've found similar Jeep covers as cheap at $50.

Anyone have the CCOT cover? Is it waterproof? I'm more concerned about keeping water off to prevent deterioration. The paint is already shot.

I have the ccot one that was a gift. I leave my soft top on but with the rear windows rolled up. If there is no top water puddles at the cage and seeps thru. It might work for you if you have a family bikini top pulled tight to keep the water from puddling between the cage.

put a dowel rod or two to make hi points so the water cant pool

or build a garage

The plywood is the backup solution... I do that now with the brown tarp I use. Trying to lessen the amount that I "redneck up" the neighborhood with a real car cover.

Really interested in experience with the CCOT cover, or suggestions on other covers that are waterproof.

Mine is under ccot cover for 300 days a year in rain and snow. My only problem with it was the pooling. A few years ago someone posted a link to the exact one from walmart for about half the price.

I use the sister designs one and have no had water leak through but it does pool in between the cage. Its rip stop nylon so packs down small but the sun has faded it a bunch since last season might have to treat it with some kind of uv protector this year

walmart cover

the one for the Jeep or the SUV, Overdrive Polypro?
