But they did not have round rear wheel well opening but the standard FJ40 type. With the hood blocking the wheel well opening can't say for sure which it has. Looks more like a FJ25 but could be modified. Does appear to have the notch in the instrument cluster for a column shift and chrome hand brake handle under the dash which would be FJ40. Also see at least one ambulance door in pile or parts. Corrugated hard top sides could be made to fit but without the fiberglass cap to go with it won't be much good. Do not see any soft top bows or doors. For the price ($6,500) I would rather buy a later model project. If you want a modified 40 series later years are easier to convert. While the early soft tops are cool if your planning on having modified cruiser to drive the hard top/later soft top are a better option. Takes some getting use not hitting your hip getting in and out.

looks like someone cut out the wheel wells to me

I caught that and the chrome hand brake handle which would be even hard to change then instrument cluster. I would have to look up the VINs when the ashtray and defrost vents were added. Both were during 1962.

Does not reply any more? Must have went on vacation.

I know you may be kidding but I always find it interesting when someone list something for sale on mud and when asked for pictures or other type of information they get the response I'm out of town right now it will have to wait until I get back. This isn't a week or two after the listing but the next day or even the same day. I need to start selling off a good chunk of my collection of parts but only until I can dedicate some time to it. Not sure what venue to use either.

A PM to me would be a good venue!

Sorry about that. Like I said not able to devote as much time as I like. I did come across a third and better still set of those brackets. I get you some pictures today. My biggest problem with pictures is I use a Windows 8 computer that do not like for organizing pictures I use my Windows 7 computer but it has real issues. Twenty minutes to get a picture posted some times.

Just busting your chops. More worried about finding 25 parts than those brackets, anyways. No rush.

Hijack over.
