I’m pumped Roma is on the way up this weekend, secured all the parts, everything is ready. Should be driving by Sunday if all goes well

I pulled the motor today, I still can’t believe how clean this truck is being 30 years old. I had a moment of just rebuild the 2f and keep it as is.
it came out of OR and it had 266k on it.Where did you find it?
How many miles.?
My plan was to put the 2.8 in this truck, but after I bought it and got it home I decided to keep it all Toyota. I even thought hard about rebuilding the 2f. But after many conversations with Roma, CD and Jim(TX) i am going the 12ht route because it was an option for this truck. I have a non-Toyota drive train 62 with the GM motor already so this made since for me. I drove Roma's truck for about a day with the 12ht. My impression was that it had enough additional power over the 2f that interstate driving/hill climbing was not a struggle and you get twice the fuel economy.Looking forward to your impressions of the 12ht coming from a 2f. Down the road I'm thinking it's between a 12ht and R2.8 for me so looking forward to watching your progress and thoughts.
