Very nice !!

first mod!!

had to get the first mod out of the way. I worked for toyota for a number of years and had a toyota golf ball hanging out so I drilled it out and tapped it. what do you think?

Would an original '76 have come without headrests on the seats? My '76 has head rests and the seats look fairly original, but I've never bothered to figure out if they are or not.

Works for me.:D

What size of hole&tap? Mine likely won't say Toyota... Cause I've got a couple dozen other balls lying around.

8x1.25 I think....VERY cool idea, indeed!

8 x 1.25 mm is correct. Fits like a glove. I used a little lock-tite on 'er too.

I don't know if it should have the headrests, I would imagine. I know that was one thing he said he had changed was having the seats reupholstered with marine grade vinyl cause he planned on taking the top off, but then never took it off.

Ha ha no... Just the small town I live in was settled by about ten different families that married their neighbors and then people have just stayed around. No inbreeding!! Ha ha. Just a quaint little town.

I wouldn't change one thing about this rig. There are very few around that haven't been messed with. Original, original, original. I'd sure keep those wheels and hubcaps on it as well. I just this weekend went back to the grey steelies on skinny tires and love the look. Still need the hubcaps though. That's one fine lookng 40.

Headrests were an option in 76. At least early in the year. My first 76 came from the original owner with only 27k miles. No headrests, but there were holes with plugs where they belong. I found some used ones and added them later.

Nice !!!

Really nice and original Cruiser, I know you already ordered the 4" lift but, a suggestion, is better the 2 1/2 from OME and extra 1 1/2 shackles on it, better ride and more stable, however, it looks pretty good.

Congrats !!!

Thanks guys! I'm absolutely giddy!! I'm trying to find excuses of places to go and things to do just to get a chance to drive it! I can't even pull out of Wendy's without someone stopping me and commenting on what a cool truck it is and how clean it is! It's a lot of fun.

Second mod, done! Added a flow master exhaust to it. Not sure how many have tried this, but it added just the perfect little growl to it. I would recommend it to anyone. Rims and tires should be here tomorrow, and if ccot would ever ship the lift, I'll be in business.

Anyone know where or how's the best way to get or make work a bracket to move the seat belts to the roll cage to take the top off? My last 40 I got a kit from ccot... Just didn't know if there's an easier way?

My Jan. 76 has them.

Beautiful truck!! :) Congratulations.

so nice

Very nice! Love the black and blue combo!

Dude that truck looks sick!. I'm almost the same color and I've been contemplating black rims just like those. What is that rim/ tire combo?

Sweet looking ride! How about some pics of the interior?
