I'd love both - assuming you do a sub/ amp and then a second for the full extra space.... I've got a spare plastic panel that I just had ordered up a "deck" inspection " plate" to fit...... 13 x 28 fits across that it almost perfectly allowing great access..... just need the mount solution....

wishing I could match it in color and texture to the new Wagongear tailgate lid i just did.... love that thing.

I'm in for the sub bracket and interested in what you have in mind for the backup camera.

Holy crap the new forum is, well NEW.
I took a few weeks off of social and forums and got a lot done, nothing on the 80 to report other than some new parts.

1- DEPO is no longer making the clear turn signals and I finally got my new ones in today from my supplier. So I will be water testing them for 24 hours and see if the quality is there.

2-Sub mount is finished, the accessory panel is two weeks away and will be an add on to the sub mount.

BTW here is me wasting time trying to figure out what I want in that area and how I'm going to position it all. The idea is the utilize the door to mount all of the gauges and sockets and have all of the fuses and circuit breakers be right behind it so that everything is accessible from that little door. I am not building a flat panel, I am building a pocket like the one on the sub bottom, that what you're thinking? I dont want anything in the way of the plastic panel and it to hug the body panel.

Very nice work so far!

I may be of the few that already have that real estate stuffed with something. How hard would it be to offer something like this for the driver's side panel? Say in the pocket between the filler neck and the tail light?

Yes the whole panel should be a pocket but still flat, open at the top to allow extension into that space, and yes should be relatively close to the body panel not the plastic panel. My lame drawing doesn't show the pocket.

I have another idea for over there, but not a speaker.

Greetings to all, I have set up a coupon code for the bracket over the next week.

to get 25% off, enter "80sub" at checkout.

http://shop.metrictlc.com/80-Series-10-sub-woofer-mount-G-30.htm is the link, please buy another for your friends ;0)

We had to have boxes made and each comes with new hardware, so you need nothing to install it.

Nice work! Maybe I missed it, but is there a list of compatible speakers?

Ha! I searched every sub that had great ratings and printed out the specs and documented the hole cut out size. This is the most common for the 10" Subs, many are 1/4" smaller, this is why the slotted mounting holes.

You'll need to research the speaker that best fits your needs and wants and I'm sure one will fit nicely. Amazon and Crutchfield are excellent places to start. I'm looking at the Kicker and Pioneer models.

I would be in on that

Is the bracket designed for the sub to fit behind the OEM plastic panel or for one to cut a hole in the panel to match the size of the sub and bolt it over top of the plastic panel?

I'm looking at speaker and amp options before I pull the trigger. How much mounting depth does this bracket leave us to work with?

Btw, glad you finally bought an 80. You have brought a high level of enthusiasm and new products.

Thanks!

I was not going to mount an amp back there, I was and designed it for my electrical accessories. However, I am working on a second one that attaches forward on this mount and can be accessed by opening the pocket door.

The platform is 9" wide, 6.25" tall and 3" deep. , or it could be mounted to the back side as there is several inches before the body.

Here are several examples. http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias=aps&field-keywords=mono amp&tag=ihco-20

My intentions were to install the amp under the passenger seat, I might even build a bracket to you don't have to drill through the floor. This allows me to install everything I need in the rear and the amp up front and easily accessed.
