Holy sh*t! Impressive! Just amazing considering this thing was buried in the dirt! Keep up the good work.

I didn't notice this either JackA until the headliner remnants came out. Then blasting showed it off real well! I am guessing it is a good thing to have found it now before putting it all back together. And I continue to be impressed by Kyle's work, So, on we go. Kyle is a good guy to work with and I keep my bill paid so he has no disincentive to get my truck done in good time. He enjoys what he does and I am still trying to get him to do some LV parts to sell. One good thing is that he will know all about the LV when he is done! I just got a bunch of pics from JackA of unearthing of the Farm Fresh LV and I too am impressed by how far it has come!

This was a very inauspicious beginning to say the least! But she is looking up!

Finally got some pictures of the progress. I had to go visit my LV in the hospital. It had been too long as some of you understand. Just got to see it. Kyle asked me if was ok to pull the roof and I said yes but I was not ready for the actual sight of it! My baby has no head!

The roof is not in bad shape but the old rot monster was lurking underneath! Can't say I was too surprised though. They all seem to have this issue and I knew it was there but did think I would have to address it now. Oh well. It would seem they made the body and then primed what could be sprayed so all the interior pieces and faces got no coating. Well, now they do and it should last for another 50 years.

I had a thought the other day that came from watching one of the car shows.....am I sunk already? I have an old cracked up steering wheel and was considering making it smaller since I have power steering? Anyone done this successfully? I have been reading Birdheads thread and it seems doable but is it advisable?

Very impressive! Looks like that van in the background is getting worked over too.

It' s moving along nicely. Impressive is all I can say.

I am on to getting all that primed and looking to order a mess of Lizard Skin for the interior. been smearing some seem sealer around to close up some gaps and try to keep the dirt from getting up into the quarter panels. Got a few other parts, like the Dakota digital instrument panel. Got the tank gas tank cleaned and coated. Looking for a good glass shop to do some glass for me. I am looking for a few pieces as well. I need the interior horn parts for my column if anybody has any knowledge of those. Also looking for a filler neck if anyone has one hangin' around. I need a light and wiper knob for the dash as well. Slowly inching along.....

Looking good. I will look and see if I have some of the parts you need. I know I don't have an extra filler though. I will pm ya tonite.

Prepping and seam sealer on the interior and coating the underside of the trans tunnel. Tried to get a picture of the gap I sealed up in the rear wheel well. There are still some spots I want to address behind the rear wheel where mud can still get up into the body. I don't want to seal them off completely because that will trap the mud but I need to at least make it not a direct shot from the wheel up into the quarter panel!

Got a big step forward today from UPS! I think I have found the gasket for all my windows and windshield! I ordered a bunch of samples from Steele Rubber and started fitting them to see which one will work. And the winner is :rimshot::rimshot: ...........
IMG_0105.webp

It seems to fit well in the side windows.....

And the rear window.....

And the windshield .......

First time for fitting universal gaskets and windows so if anyone sees an issue with these, let me know. Now i need to make some patterns and get the glass cut. Has anyone tried the "low -E" glass? It is supposed to block the IR radiation and keep things cooler inside? I would like to keep as much heat out as possible but I also don't need a blacked out pimp-LV?.

Maybe some nice leopard print drapery would be better?

Awesome, can’t wait to see if those seals work.
