Where or what is the business who makes these tops like the black one and how much moolah?

I am almost positive that she is no longer doing it.

Sooo …. if she is no longer in the game, who is the next best provider of quality OEM style soft top?

I spoke to Julie this evening. She is still making tops but is backed up 8 months on orders. She reiterated she had a fire and lost everything and is playing catch up. At this point she will take a order and asks for 1/2 payment up front and the other 1/2 prior to delivery.
She did not say anything about her web page being down.

Not her in particular but "fool me twice"?

Just passing on what she said. I get it though.

I bypassed all the drama by getting one that was in-stock from ebay around page 5 of this thread from OCD's sister right around when that was going bad. No way I'm funding Bernie Madoff's lifestyle with my deposit.

In the meantime I'm going to set up some sawhorses in my garage and so some hand-sewing to get another couple years out of it. It's ugly and has holes worn into the rub spots at the b-pillar.

She is a scam. Julie has been stringing me along for 2 years. She took my money. She is pretending to reimburse me via zelle, venmo, etc. but there is always a hangup or glitch on her end. Pathological liar she is. Stay away from her.

She has a string of “challenges” Garage burned down, canvas supplier delay, sewing machine broke down, ran out of string, cancer, closed on her house and having difficulty getting her money from the bank. @Trollhole have you been in touch with her in the last couple of months

I give this kit a 8/10 rating. Hardware is lacking but the quality of the top is 9/10.

I’m going to go out on a limb here….

Guys how is it that nobody has approached a local well known boat top repair shop or upholstery shop about making these? Approach them about using a similar high quality UV resistant canvas material, make a couple different window patterns or not, offer several color options (tan, white, black, grey) and sell them.

It appears to me from the numerous threads on here there’s a bunch of guys or LC shops in need that would buy a high quality 40 soft top from them???

If I had a 40 and needed a top I would have already approached a shop and posted the info.

@cwags12 if you’re in Charlotte I imagine there’s a couple boat top repair shops on Lake Norman or Lake Wiley?

I approached a few boat shops in Colorado and they didn’t want anything to do with something going down the freeway. My search isn’t over and I’ll report back what I end up doing.

Def looked into it and couldn't make the $$ work in a way that would make it worthwhile AND it would stand out vs TROA. Especially once you factor in the steel bows that are needed to go with each one. I remember landing on a thought that it was better time spent to go with TROA and figure out how to optimize their setup to be better (i.e. hardware, loops, bows, video instructions, etc). Who knows with Real Steel out of the game now (i.e. they are no longer making bows/beams), perhaps its time for us to revisit...
