Was told the wrong information from MS support and the 22RE can not do sequential without adding a cam or crank sensor. Should have investigated it further but I took their word for it. So while I look into that will swap back to batch fire to get the truck running...

can you not use the distributor pickup as a cam sensor ?

The 4 tooth cam wheel is engine speed. There is a 1 tooth reluctor next to it but no VR sensor. I bought an OEM signal generator magnet and am going to try and drill and tap it then see if I can configure MS for a 4+1 cam/cam trigger. The 4age distributor did this prior to going to the 12 tooth wheel

Not sure how bad the resolution will be but hopefully good enough for sequential

More parts
SPAL 16" low profile puller
Going to mock up 1-1/4" tube for the manifold instead of 1-1/2"
Got some shielded wire for the cam/crank
Also scoured the internet for intercooler dimensions and am going to try a Volkswagen passat intercooler after mocking up some cardboard.

Ends up being 24x10x2 and am going to try standing the radiator 2 inches off of the support and squeezing it between the AC condenser and radiator

Fuel pressure regulator relocated off the fire wall. It was making a very annoying tick that amplified through the cab. I thought it was forged piston slap.

CSF radiator crack repair.

Waiting for a new power steering box before it's back on the road

It runs! First crank 🤙
Noticeably smoother idle and slow reving to 5000, probably because of consistency in fuel quantity.

NA tuning to come but I don't think I'll have to do much

Intercooler came in and my cardboard design was spot on.

Tired of trying seal kits to fix my leaking power steering box. Trail gear had a sale on a tapped box, we'll see how it holds up.

550s are running great after a few sessions driving around, the truck is finally running better than it was stock and I can pull up to 6000rpm with 4.10s and 33s and also cruise without running crazy rich or breaking up

So close to boost!

Is your steering box leaking at the input shaft seal? That's the one that always leaked on my 88. (early style box) At least you don't have to pull the box to change this seal on the early style box.

Here's the part number to the typical leaking seal. The number on the seal is NOK AP8096E. The Toyota number is 90311-19002

Output/sector shaft seal was toast for the second time. The sector shaft is so rusted and pitted that a lip seal does nothing now

I’ll second redhead. I’ve got them on both my ford trucks and they were a nice improvement.

The truck rocked it at 2023 Iowa Tall Corn Cruiser Classic at MIOBI. Funny how you calibrate it for the street and then motor the engine down a steep hill where you have your fueling too rich and shoot flames out the back. Fun bouncing it off redline in the mud. Also was able to cruise at 65mph up hills in 5th while getting 20 mpg.

Garage is cleaned out and after we get back from a 3500 mile road trip in the land cruiser I will pull it in and start the turbo install.
