Electronic High Idle Retrofit

So I tapped the signal wire from the switch to the compressor and ran it to the signal wire going into the ecu shown below. I think I put a diode in that signal line but I can't remember, I don't see a reason for the diode at this time though.

I'll use the diode on both the existing ac and the signal line so as not to stuff around with the AC turning on.

thats a good idea ^ make sure you use a correctly sized diode.

I’ve got some schottky diodes 1A I think that I used for headlights previously. I just ran multiple in parallel to handle more current.

How many amps would that AC line have?

I don’t think you will need to run diodes in series, iirc I just used one small one. But I’m not running ac, so just play with it till you get it dialed in.
