In preparations for restoring my rig, I need to determine what electrical connectors to use. I used Deutsch connectors on my FJ40 and while they are wonderful, water and chemical proof, they were overkill and expensive. What male/female connectors do you guys use and recommend? Thanks.

One of my other hobbies is restoring Vintage Honda Motorcycles. I found this company called Vintage Connections that makes a great crimping tool and bullet connectors that match these old Japanese connectors perfectly. I noticed when working on my FJ40 that a lot of the connectors are very similar if not the same as on my old bikes.

You can buy kits or bulk, the crimp tool is pricey but it's very very high quality and works well:

That's the hot ticket!! Including wiring and such, I think with that I can have bring in a complete scratch-built OEM harness for under $200, which is 1/8 of the Painless harness & Deutsch connectors that comprise my FJ40 harness. Thanks!!

Howdy! I just happen to have a CD with the files covering all? Toyota electrical connectors, according to the Master Toyota Parts Guru that gave it to me. It has part numbers and pictures, in scale, I think. If I just knew how to post it up I would. John

Yo inkpot - shoot Woody a PM and tell him what you have. I'm sure that he'd be willing to find a home for the information on the website somewhere.
