The market has dried up on the 1958-9/1966 clutch slave cylinder rebuild kits (or replacements for that matter). Does anyone have a part number for a kit to rebuild these? The silly thing is that all we need is the one rubber plunger and maybe the boot.

The 1958 - September 1966 is a 7/8" bore or 22mm
The September 1966 to August 1974 is a 3/4" bore or 20mm

Toyota - 04313-35011
SOR - 018-05A & 018-06A NLA
Cruiser Outfitters - Have a email into Kurt (need JBS 04313-35011 for E-66 model)
O'Rilley/Checker - Nothing listed
Dorman - unable to find a part number
NAPA - NLA
CarQuest - NLA
RockAuto - NLA
CCOT - A61470-30021?

A lot of the British makes use a 7/8" clutch slave but that seems rarer than a Land Cruiser rebuild

Clutch Slave Differences

1. early - 1966. clutch slave was 7/8" in diameter and used the older hose.
It appears that this cylinder is no longer available, but the repair kits are.
The part number may have merged with number 2, below.
Clutch Slave: (no longer available, use #2 below ???)
Clutch Slave Kit: 04313-35011

2. 1966-7/70 cluch slave was 3/4" in diameter and used the same older
hose as number 1, above. Tiny bleeder screw (8 mm wrench). Round it
off in no time flat.
Clutch Slave: 31470-60021
Clutch Slave Kit: 04313-60011

3. 7/70 - 8/74 - same diameter as the last one (3/4") but a different hose. The
change happened the same time as the dual brake master cylinder.
Clutch Slave: 31470-60022
Clutch Slave Kit: 04313-60011

4. 8/74 - 7/80 - diameter increased to 13/16". New clutch rod due to change
in pressure plate -- thanks Jim.
Clutch Slave: 31470-60071
Clutch Slave Kit: 04313-60020

5. 8/80 - 4/85 - diameter still 13/16", why did the PN change?
Clutch Slave: 31470-60081
Clutch Slave Kit: 04313-60020

Dorman CSK351691 - Clutch Slave Cylinder Repair Kit (2002 Toyota Corolla) appears to have a 7/8" bore...

toyota part
04313-30120?

Could be a cool upgrade if it fits. The boot looks close to stock as well.

We (Cruiser Outfitters) have plenty of them, both OEM and JBS (Japanese), part numbers CSK35011OEM & CSK35011 respectively. I'll have to note prices tomorrow when I'm back at a work computer.

Bottom right

While we're on the subject:

Anybody have a source for the old clutch hose 90947-02006? It's NLA from Toyota and I've yet to find an aftermarket replacement. It's the same hose as all three brake hoses on the 25's.

The brake lines are also NLA?

Might work!
The logic for Toyota part numbers is like this (generally, with some exceptions):

1. First five digits is the component or system area that you are dealing with so in your example 31210 is a part number category that generally corresponds to the first 5 digits of a ten digit Toyota part number (PNC as we call it). These correspond most of the time, but there are sometimes where the PNC number is not the same as the first 5 digits of the ten digit number.

2. 2nd set of 5 numbers indicates the vehicle usage and indicates generational aspects of the part number (engineering changes, supplier changes, etc) (ie: -6, -61, -66, -90, -17, -54 indicate Land Cruisers). You sometimes also have applicability of numbers across vehicles (in the case of tools and oil filter etc.).

3. Sometimes you have a -77, -83, -84, -C0, etc placed after the ten digit number and those suffixes indicate things like "remanufactured, locally sourced, or color codes.

So a good example of a Land Cruiser number: 16110-61081-77: (water pump for a late 2F): Notice, for example, that the PNC is actually "16100" but the actual part for the water pump is "16110".

Hope that helps.
Making sense of Toyota part numbers

Yup. Same part number.

Although....I just did a search and 90947-02006-86 came up as available. Any idea what the 86 suffix means?

The 90947-02006 & 90947-02006-86 both show as discontinued for Toyota USA. Anything you were able to find in the US?
