Nice writeup indeed. My LC is still holding strong after 20 years but wife's T4R has the saggy visors. I'll do this on her machine.

Thanks, OP.

Awesome!!!!!

I just joined the forum after acquiring a 96 LX450 and having a saggy visor. I had an ACE Hardware down the street and whala!!!! my visor has been fixed!!! Awesome!!! Thread!!!!! :bounce:

I finally got around to doing this mod today - I gotta say this is one of the best and easiest mods going. My drooping visor was really bugging me, now it holds up super tight... I used 1 + 3 magnets per side... It holds really nice.
Thanks to the OP for the great idea.

Thanks Mr OffShore...

Just used this mod to fix my 97 LC. Great fix. Especially since you can't get the tan visors anymore. They are factory discontinued according to CruiserDan. Can only get grey ones which would look a bit weird.

The mod was easy and worked perfectly. Just took a few times to get the magnets positioned right in the headliner, and then taped down properly to stay put.

Awesome mod....

I did this mod last winter in the off season.

Now it's prime truck time with lots of miles and driving happening.
My new mag visors are just perfect and are a thrill every time I snap them in place or just admire them stuck right to the liner.

One of the best mods I've done and the cheapest

This was one of the first repairs I did to my lx. Works great!

This sounds like a great idea. I've used the industrial strength Velcro hook and loop stuff, and after a very short time the adhesive gives way due to temperature. By Industrial strength velcro, I mean the same stuff we use on our firefighting helmets. The magnets seem to be an elegant, simple, effective and cheap solution. Thanks for posting.

Dang it! I was just at Ace 3 hours ago and I never go there. Will be soon, though - thanks.

Home Depot sells them for $4. Just did the mod. Works great and most of all...The :princess: is happy

Do you have the item number of the one you used?

Greetings:

Will this fix work for the 93's with the cloth headliner?

Thanks,

Steve

Just got done with my DS and I can't stop staring at the visor! I Bought the magnets at Lowe's but they weren't strong enough but luckily I had a pretty strong one up on the fridge that worked perfect for the inside the visor. I'll make the trip to ACE when it's time for the PS. Thank you for this write up

Great idea.

Just got around to doing this. The only thing I would add is spend the extra 60 seconds to remove the center light console to make working with the headliner easier. I could then hand place the magnets and tape.

I just did this yesterday and it worked great! Another great mod. Thanks!

Perfect

Great intel!! I will do it this coming week!
:)This forum saves me so much $$$. I urge everyone to buy some items from them.

I developed a problem where the magnets in the headliner would jump to the metal roof. I put a small piece of wood in between the magnets and metal roof, problem solved.

This is such a great idea. Simple and functional. After buying my vehicle I got so frustrated I just removed the visor. I'm looking forward to doing this and having a functional visor again.

Works like a charm!

Many thanks for sharing your incredibly simple drooping visor repair! Bought the magnets and heavy duty, double-sided tape at my neighborhood ACE Hardware. Just some handy duct tape for the one-sided tape portion of the process. I admit to putting it off for several weeks after first reading your post. Today I finally tried it. Every step of the way, I "measured twice and cut once," and now you cannot tell the visor or headliner has ever been touched. Again, many, MANY thanks for sharing!
