Worth all the damage and more, She’s like one of our children 😍

Thanks for that @DrDuc … I have always had something gnawed on in the last 8 dogs or so over 50 years. This one just has a real affinity for shoes and eyeglasses. Fortunately for me, the eyeglasses were those $10 cheaters. Although 3 pair of them were $95 Warby-Parker better quality. Our biggest night time problem isn’t potty time…she snores and between the 3 of them, the black lab is a sound machine

These are not some artistic scrolls carved into the furniture by design……it must be tasty?

Oh that looks familiar 🤣🤣🤣

I knew a puppy at this age would be a pain in the butt. I should have learned this already but…I believed she was done with that stage. This pair is two weeks old, the other pair I had for 2 years until she got them in the middle of the night, just like these 🤷🏼‍♂️

Rub the outside lightly with dish soap and see if that helps. Had a dog that ate door frames trying to turn the knob. Tried tobacco, forgot the dog ate pork rinds with tobacco as treats and replaced a door frame. Covered it in dawn, dog never touched that door again.

Pig pig has been making marks for me and taking naps as I glue what he marks.

Windows chooses to nap in the rig most of the time. If I leave the door open, he’ll always end up in the truck waiting for me

Occasionally he hops out to inspect whatever I’m screwing up. Today is a couple UZJ80 transmission mounts.

This little girl is wanting to chew most everything, l try to stay ahead of her cravings with a large spray bottle of bitter apple which works.

We've had 5 or 6 GSP's. This Milo who passed in his sleep not long after this pic from an un-diagnosed heart condition.

This is Faith, our griffon: most "un-birdy" bird dog in the world!

All but our first GSP have been rescues! Miss them all!!!!

He loves cows so I bought him a couple of stuffed animals. He treats them like they are his babies. I bought a rubber one that moos when it’s bitten. He doesn’t play with much at all. As soon as he hears it moo when he tries to pick it up, he lets go of it and looks at it like he thinks he may have hurt it🤣🤣🤣. Our other dogs leave his stuffed animals alone. They seem to know that they belong to him

We've also had a bunch of gsp's, our current senior boy Gamble.

Wife has the others on the "Cloud" and I don't know how to retrieve them: Hagrid, Maggie, Duke/Jim, & Abby!

I've been too busy rescuing dogs in this miserable weather to post.

Had a few heartbreakers

A 92 year old man who was famous for shooting at people he thought were trespassing froze to death when his power failed. Had two dogs chained in the open in front of his shack. Found two fosters and drove into that s*** hole to discover they were a mother and pup and the pup was born blind.

Had a dude who moved to New Jersey return a dog, I still don't know why, but drove the whole day to bring him back.

Today I rescued a female Cane Corso from a dude who fractured her skull with a baseball bat. She has recovered and he is going to prison for a while.

She is small for her breed and is the sweetest girl. Cringes when I approach, which breaks my heart.

Some of these stories are horrific. Thank goodness you’re able to see past this and bring the benefits to these beautiful dogs.

On a lighter note: I had to leave early for work … I take my clothes and put them in the other bedroom so I can get up and not wake my wife at 4am while getting ready and taking the dogs out…. I guess the door was open and the silver lab , who had destroyed my new waterproof boots last week, decided she was not sleeping during the night and decided to entertain herself……again!
