I've been too busy rescuing dogs in this miserable weather to post.

Had a few heartbreakers

A 92 year old man who was famous for shooting at people he thought were trespassing froze to death when his power failed. Had two dogs chained in the open in front of his shack. Found two fosters and drove into that s*** hole to discover they were a mother and pup and the pup was born blind.

Update on this rescue.

Yesterday we scheduled her spay and today she had a gift for us. Who doesn't like a surprise bonus puppy?

Today my gate bounced open as it has several times when I close it. When I looked up, all 3 of them were out running around the pole barn and the shed hunting the 4 cats that hang out there. What a chore rounding them up. The golden was just being a golden..but the two labs? They saw dinner

Meet Wrigley...she's a 7yr old Cinnamon Dobie that needed a temporary home. She and Murphy are still working things out, and she's a nervous mess, but pretty sure she'll come around before she heads to her furr-ever home on Saturday.

Had quite a week. First, our big labradane who's been returned for rough play twice, was adopted by this little guy, who took everything she could dish out and gave it back in spades.

Then, we got a couple new babies.

Then, I got to dog sit my kids dog. I guess the grandkids were there too.

I always test the dogs for cats, kids and other dog compatibility. I also do couch cuddles and land cruiser rides. Most dogs freak out with the noise of the 40, but Mater the Patterdale terrier was born for it

Also picked up a new sweet boy last Saturday.

Someone spent a shed load of money for a purebred dalmatian, but once it cost money to maintain (as they do) they brought it to an animal hospital to be euthanized. Animal hospital made them a deal. Either they charge them money to euthanize or they could surrender the dog to us for free.

Once we got him, we discovered he was 5 years old and had never been vetted. Jerks. He is a good boy with a dalmatian grin and goes to another home today.

When I was at the animal hospital last Saturday picking up the dalmatian, my good friend Nick was there with his 15 year old beloved pit, who was starting to cross the rainbow bridge. This goodest boy is Jameson, who he raised from an abandoned puppy.

Jameson is my hero. They kept trying to get him to lie down so he could be comfortable, but he stubbornly refused. It's as if he was saying "**** you death. You want me, you come and get me."

After he passed, I was comforting Nick and told him I would find him a pup when he was ready.

He called me Tuesday and said he and his family were ready.

Just so happened to have a small black mouth cur dog that loved kids, and when they met they just melted into each other. They took her home this afternoon.
