15 years . . . what a soulful face.

It's like we've said with our dogs and cats, when one goes to heaven a chapter of our life ends. And then a new one comes along and a new chapter begins.

I’ve been pressed into this couch for the last 35 minutes. I’m not complaining. Tomorrow it is supposed to be over 60* for the first time in the last several weeks. Funny thing is, she snores. The black one is on the other side

In the 45 it’s head in lap using ALL the bench.

I think she actually prefers laying on top of all my tools in the Tacoma. It may be the lazy cruise with a view, but probably more along the lines of lack of ole factory and sensory overload lol

Did two rescues two days in a row.

Both were last minute doggy death row interventions.

Bobo, now Walter, had his euthanization moved up and the animal control officers called me in a panic so we agreed to pull him at the last moment. As in, they were prepping him to administer The Shot when we got through to them.

I'm convinced he is a pitbull/badger cross, but he is the sweetest boy. He likes to ride in the Land Cruiser with his head on my lap, and God forbid you try to stop him, as he will just move your body around until he gets things just right.

Today we did the same thing with Denim, who is a sweet shy lab cross

Windows got REAL sick a couple weeks back. Didn’t wanna do his job and inspect parts, hardly moved, would just sleep in the truck all day. Probably ate something he shouldn’t have at Spanish lessons (the shop across the lot that blares tejano where he spends half his day terrorizing their customers because he’s a Pitbull and being fed Mexican food and Michelob). Got to the point four days ago I hadn’t seen him drink water in more than 12 hours or s*** for three days with a heavy dose of avoiding food. I bottle forced him water for a day, gave him rice/chicken/sweet potato and yelled at him for stressing me out like I was a woman. He’s probably lost 8 pounds, easy. Genuinely thought he was gonna die where I slept on the floor with him a couple nights since that’s where he was comfortable. Then he woke up a couple days ago, took a fat s***, did a burn out, and humped Pig Pig. My boy is back like pomade and Polk-a-dots! Never been so thankful to see a dude get humped by a dude in my life!

Windows can’t catch a break. Chewing his small sticks and he got one wedged. He started licking at his paws weird and they started turning red, so I grabbed him and found this. A pair of dykes and a homie to hold him while I clipped the wedged stick had him back on Miller Time.

Pepper is turning out to be a bonafide trail dog. We just have to work on sharing the trail.

Found a forever home for Mater. Really rewarding as up until a week or so ago I was wondering if he was ever going to be adoptable. Suddenly it's like something clicked in him and he became a good boy

I think someone dumped a dog on me. This sweet little girl just showed up at our barn asking for love, food and water.

As we do more rescues, and started getting notoriety, this was inevitable.

Just last week a couple people showed up asking for us to take a couple dogs.

According to her microchip her name is Darla. We reported her but I doubt her owners will respond.
