Ninja is a year old Labradane, who has been returned twice because she is a 90 pound puppy. I make this clear to adopters, and describe her behavior, but they don't listen. She is the prettiest dog and just needs love and discipline. And someone who is willing to Great Dane proof their house.

Heidi is the sweetest little house Hippo who is my first certified abuse case. She's heartworm positive and is on quick kill protocol. Good news is she's super chill

I rescued Enzo a year ago, and he has bounced around from various agencies, but now he's back with me. Velcro dog x 10. Big enough to be a handful. He tries too hard initially and this puts most potential adopters off.

Rooster is one big, scary looking dog. He has been in rescue for over a year. He warms up extremely slowly. Took him three days to acknowledge me. But one week and a day after getting him, we are rough playing on the couch. I think he's the best dog in the barn right now.

This photo from 15 years ago always makes me laugh. Jaxson was the toughest, most relentless shorthair I've had. Here he's after a chipmunk he chased into my kayak.

Coffee County Tennessee Animal Control is experiencing a stray crisis. They are facing euthanizing dogs just to make room. Their director put out the call to rescues to help, so off I went to rescue a sweet Pyrenees named Jimbo.

After meeting him, we changed his name to George as a tribute to Betty Whites Pyrenees Georgia.

My daughter the dog groomer volunteered so I wouldn't screw up.

He is a terrific dog who will make someone really happy.

Great photo… I did this with mine after this morning. The three of them had my wife’s iPad cover for breakfast. Gotta have a great sense of humor to raise a puppy at this stage of life

I did a rescue today from Atlanta. Poor baby had some kind of wound on her forehead that keeps reinfecting. We are going to get her fixed up and a good home View attachment 4071779View attachment 4071780
Just an update. The sweet girl didn't have a cyst on her forehead, she had a brain tumor which has penetrated her skull. They did surgery on the "cyst" today, and as her brain was exposed to the environment and the cancer appeared to be very aggressive, we decided not to wake her up from anesthesia.

Sometimes rescue really sucks

Aw man, sorry you had to go through that.
She’s in a better place now.
