the distributor has internal fail ash’s need replacement. OEM best option? Any other options? Part #? Thanks

"the distributor has internal fail ash’s need replacement" ???

@cruiserguysc : did you mean to say oil leaking
past the internal seal?

Here's some options:

New distributor:

~ $1000 retail (US Retail), ~$650 from some US based sources, ~$450 overseas sources.

A few people have had good luck with aftermarket dizzy's.

IIRC, one person had an issue which was corrected by robbing the electronics from the OEM used part and putting them into the aftermarket housing??

The main parts that wear out are the shaft bearing and the shaft seal, both can be replaced but it requires pulling the pinion gear then getting it back on at the correct depth.

Here's a thread on how to rebuild the 1FZFE distributor. The original bearing
and seal are not available from Toyota but there are substitutes that fit.
