No, that's Dave's old boot that I cleaned up. I've got a box of those boots tho. They're attached to gas pedals I've got as much chance of selling as round coolant bottles.

Would those be the same boot as a 55 parking brake linkage boot through the firewall?

Nice work Dave!

But don't compact too hard as you don't want to change the influent and effluent invert elevations.

What do you think this is...a tech forum? :flipoff:

No, IIRC, those are longer, thinner, and black. I think I have one or two still attached to cables.

No, I thought it was Dave's 1978 FJ40 restoration project! What's with the boots anyway?:hillbilly:

Ah let me know, and I can give you a call so as not to dilute the 40 content in here with talk of Swine.

Thank you!

Mark, I thought the boots were made for walking, please make them go away!

Ok, ok! Sheesh. I've been real busy with mail order repairs, and running around the desert leading the charge against ill-advised changes in land use planning. If it makes you feel any better, I haven't touched my FJ45 2.0 resto either.

So I got a little time on it this morning. Reamed out the starter hole in the BH (note to self-tell them to mask that off next time!:bang:) installed Dave's starter. I traded out the water pump pulley for an NOS one I found laying on a dark shelf in the compressor room, and installed his new Aisin fan clutch and fan. Next up: gotta start painting the exhaust manifold and get the hardware re-zinc-ed.

I hate when I have to wait to get home to see the progress. My fault it took so long to get you the parts and paint to you Mark. As you know, I've been super busy as of late :meh: I can't wait to see the exhaust header, intake manifold and that beautiful carb installed. :grinpimp:

Dave, your engine looks great! I can't wait for it to be finished and installed in your rig. Any progress on the body and color selection?

I'm going to stay with Freeborn Red. I won't begin on the body until I get the springs, axles, engine, and trans. are installed. Then, I will focus on finishishing the frame out. after that, the body will go in for paint. That's the plan anyway. Got to have a plan!!

Any progress on the body and color selection

In my dreams every night ;)

Mark, I hope it wasn't me to make you use such a bad word as Sheesh!!!! I was just checking in on my pal Dave and the amazing work you do. But anyway, I don't want to hear how busy you guys are, I'd like to see this project on the road in the next 2 months. :deadhorse::deadhorse:
Relax, I'm only kidding.
