so the fun started last weekend with Isabelle and her friend Logan. The room mate helped out by opening up the A/C lines, removing the condenser in order to make room for his Milwaukee cordless impact tool for the removal of the cshaft bolt!! She wanted to do the bump method and was recharging her battery but the dude couldn't wait. He pulled off the bolt while she slept!
Anyway, after I rolled up, i said the hood has to go. Life is much easier when you have lots of light and ease of access. The cam lobes on the driver side has some marks even though they feel smooth. The shims have no corresponding marks and they're super smooth. See the circles in red.
Her engine is absolutely filthy, and I told I'd have disowned by now if I had known.

. When she was living with me (half time), I think mice moved in for a while. They move into all of my rigs since I live in the mountain.
I love my spawn to pieces. There I said it. Working in her garage, in a constant state of disorganization gave me fits, and minor coronaries every ten min. I brought two folding tables, moved every important small parts and all tools off the floor. I'm glad I can just walk away and not think about it. The concept of labeling things was foreign until I showed up with painters tape and sharpies.
Anyway, the heads will come off this week and I'll look for cracks and warps. At work we have a penetrant room for checking cracks using mag flux and black lighting. We also bunch of precision marble tables for measuring flatness.
All parts are ordered. HG kit coming from
