Build D'animal 1964 FJ45 SWB Finally

I stopped in Advanced Adaptors to get a Twin Stick setup. They do not have a product sitting on the shelf that works with the 4l80e/split case combo. They referred me to Georg (OrangeFJ45) at Valley Hybrids since he has worked his magic and has a kit.

Once the twin sticks are installed, I can finish the transmission cover and continue working on the rest of the rig.

Has anybody seen a suspension setup like this? I have never seen a front spring shackler reversal rear shackle hanger designed and build like this.

It is an FJ 60 front axle and the springs are Semi-outboarded.

Proffitt's (RIP) outboard shackles. Same as mine. I determined I could get more shackle angle by using the stock hangers rather than going through the frame.

You might want to measure the flat length of the spring to be sure the shackles won't hit the frame before the spring goes flat. Looks to be pretty tight.

I found this while skimming through some pictures of my disassembly process.

Does everybody else drill the rear cab mounts out like this or is there a magical way to do it that I'm not aware of?

I will either put the 4BTA/4L80e/Spilt-case in my 1992 FJ 80 or sell it.

Tractor would not pick up the assy high enough. I had to pull the front tires off to get it installed.

Why is it taking so long? Well it is all the little things like the power steering bracket installed upside down and other little things like that.
