I'm really suprised these rigs did not all rust away. The compartment is full of crud with no way for it to fall out.

hope the other welds look better than the few I see.

some trucks at work have offset shackles, but the parrallel plates are both bent. can't remember if they are Western Stars or older Kenworths.

Once I get the metal replaced on the cab I will put it back on and then weld the rear cab mounts in place. Once the rear cab mounts are on, this rig is going all the way down to the frame.

The powdercoater left sand inside the frame and then powder coated over the sand. They really missed powdercoating the inside of the frame.

Just a little work not as bad as it could of been underneath the body tar, not knowing the mods you are going to make may need to get rid of the tin anyway:::;) are you going to stretch this also.

The driverside cab corner is in great shape. The passenger side needs replaced.

Found out the "Undercoating" that was caked on the firewall and the bottom of the cab was actually roofing tar. They were able to heat up the tub in the powdercoating oven and scrape most of it off. I would say they got 99.5% of it off but there is still some of it sticking into some areas.

Blasting is soooo worth it. Slap that in some epoxy primer and take ur time. Much easier to work with clean parts.
