Front ome2850J with ome60070L
Rear ome2863 with ome60071

Left to do is rear drawer/snorkel?/new rear bearings and seals

That's the setup we ended up with on Mitch's rig after several iterations. Sitting exactly level after a couple of months...hoped second batt would drop the front a bit but no joy. Might end up adding spacers or Js in the rear but want to fully exercise the set-up. Target is level loaded heavy not empty.

We ended up fabbing 1.5" sway bar drops and bump extensions to keep the front ds from contacting sway bar at full drop. Questionable with sb connected but def a prob if we run disconnected and I know you've got the disconnects as well. Slee sells 2" spacers but we only needed 1.5" to clear. Also made 1.5" drops for rear bump stops to alleviate the stuffing prob but didn't need to drop the rear sb on his.

Same idea here. I already had the sway bar drops and caster plates all the other stuff to make this work correctly. I'm adding 180 pounds of wood drawer system and tools and later this year another 200 of 4x4 labs rear swing out. My rear sits about .5 higher than the front right now, but just like you I want to stretch this thing out for a little bit before I make any adjustments. So far its firm but I know it will soften up over time. @LandCruiserPhil runs the same set up with his disconnects which I have as well and his flex is great.

Nice!! I just scored some slides on ebay, as this is on my shorter list to build.

You did order multiple sets on this deal you found right?

OOPS.... We can talk on Monday.

Sorry for the hijack, but anyone have a source for marine carpet? Need about 6' x 8' to do one of these projects. Also looking for some trick tie downs.

Beautiful truck!
Which CB antenna and mount did you use? Thanks.

Thank you for the kind words. The antenna is Laird and the cable is NMO MNT w/17' RG-58 that works with either 3/8" and 3/4" mounts and the mount is a generic black L bracket with 3/4" hole

Today this little beauty got some love.
Driver side cv
New blinker bulb
Buffed the headlights
Still do to valve cover gasket and battery terminals

Mitch is running 850Js with OME L shocks up front and 863s with regular OME shocks out back. It actually rides very good with no jarring or excessive bounce...well above expectations. His is loaded heavy though.

How's the ride with new shocks ? I have the exact same suspension on the 97 and it rides like one of my Dads unladen grain trucks. I really think the shocks are the major issue, but maybe its just meant to be a harsh setup.

Mine rides great. I have zero complaints so far. I do have HD shocks ome 60071 in the rear because of the weight I'm planing on carrying. Lot less body roll compare to my old springs and much better on road manners. I have not wheeled it yet but i'm pretty sure it will ride great as well.

I spent last night camping with Jeff at moonlight racing off road park and today fully testing my set up with the stiffer springs. I'm impressed. Lot less body roll tons more control. Great flex. Great highway manners and I could not be happier. Everything feels tight and ready to go to Arkansas. Can't wait
