Awesome brother, I wish you the best. Your products really are cool and inspiring.

I may be in the minority with the logo thing but it really would be a make or break decision for me.
It's not your logo, it's any logo. The only badging on my tundra is a TEQ badge I made to fill in the oval on the grill, however, I don't mind the older logos on my 40 and 62 though for some reason.
All my shirts are blank grey even.

I agree with you about the logo but I, too, work in consumer branding so maybe we're just jaded! Seriously, I wonder if you couldn't get a color coded paint pen and just brown it out. And that might be a good compromise...tonal logos instead of the white.

Regardless, I'm shopping for panels for when I get my rig back and these are definitely on the list. Well done.

In the meantime, I have a set of 1981-1982 cargo & tailgate panels for sale. These are used and the ABS variant. These came out of my truck when I put the brown panels in.

Dirty but can be cleaned. There’s extra holes on the driver’s side for aftermarket electrical stuff I had as well. They’ll come with brand new fasteners. $125 plus shipping.

Different colors is just the Sun reflecting off them differently.

HBIMs ..... finally back in stock in the next 10 days.

Did you order the Koito headlight kit and now the high beam indicator on your dash doesn't work? This fixes that. It's not a load resistor, so there's no heat involved. Also works for later FJ40s, as well as MR2s and mini trucks for some off-label applications. It likely works with other Toyota models of the era as well, since the headlight circuit architecture is all the same. It will not work with most LED retrofit systems, but if you're curious ping me with a few photos and I'll check out your situation.

I took a break from these for a while due to a ~3% failure rate - that didn't feel acceptable to me. Some people's trucks had a particularly high failure rate, going through several HBIMs. I reanalyzed the truck's and HBIM's circuits. I did some testing. I played around with some circuit tweaks. Ultimately what I found was that I'm 90% certain the fault lies in the stalk switch. The horn pin & ring are made out of brass and that generates fine metal dust that gets thrown around behind the steering wheel. Combine that with old grease and decades of dirt, dust, and lint, and it all comes together to form a conductive goo in the switch. When you change from low beams to high beams, this conductive goo momentarily creates a short circuit that includes the HBIM, blowing the internal fuse I install.

All that is to say ... clean your stalk switch. With the truck off and the clamshell steering column cover removed, spray it down with DeOxit and move the switch around a bunch of times - the more the better. Repeat as necessary. Blow dry with compressed air. Wait at least half an hour before turning the electrical back on.

Not re-released yet! It will likely be this weekend or as late as Monday a week from today.

I finally ran out of seat bumpers as well, so I made a big batch of those.

Fusible Link Replacement Kits are in stock as well, however y’all have been buying those consistently and it’s been a struggle to keep up. I’m running a bunch of them this weekend, and I’ve started to use a friend of mine to help build them as well. This friend has a 25 year background in electronics manufacturing, as well as about 20 years of experience working in high-skilled, high-spec manufacturing work, including electronics, biomedical, and military contractor work. All of the FLRKs he’s built thus far meet or exceed my level of attentiveness to fit and finish - otherwise he wouldn’t be doing them.

I got a pair from your first run of rear seat bumpers, and they're still holding up great. Seat back is solid as a rock and ZERO rattle (from the seat anyway. Got tons from other locations ).

That’s great Spook, glad they’re holding up. Those early days were pretty heady. I think I handled about 150 orders via Mud PM and tracked them on an Excel spreadsheet. My kids were taping shipping labels on packages.

There has been a redesign but only for aesthetics - nothing to do with quality or functionality. The original ones started life as a used OE piece from Classic Cruisers. I made a clone, bondo’d and then sanded it, made another clone, more bondo and sanding, and made a clone again. That got it looking pretty good instead of 35 year old war-torn like how it started. From that I molded it again and made about 30 clones that I used to make big production molds.

For the revamped ones I drew the piece in a CAD program, had @ChaserFJ60 3D print a few for me out of very fine filament, and then made production molds from there. The early ones had very very minor surface imperfections (that probably nobody could see but me) and the new ones don’t. Functionally they work the same.

I have something new cooking, a cool partnership. This product is going to be a small one and very niche and while it's for very few people, I think those people will appreciate it. A test mold happened last night and another will happen later today. Working in conjunction with @BigRiggs on this, who laid all the groundwork on the idea and design - I'm bringing my molding/casting and materials experience to bear to take the thing up a level and streamline production.

There's a possibility, though fairly unlikely, that this gets released ahead of my absence for Solid Axle Summit. No promises.

And no it's not the FJ62 FLRK, although I am continuing to work on that. Lots of discussions with a local 62 owner over the past week or so on some ways to get around the issues I've run into on that.
