That’s a great idea!
Chicken Corners would be a good intro...
I’m likely be at CM solo again tho..

Too bad Ken Romer & family can’t make it this year.
His daughter kicks butt in her the Prado. The LC museum caretaker’s wife too...in her purple-bumpered 80 with those hammock-pole-mounts welded on!

They would have made a great lead/gunner combo.
Last year they drove Metal Masher and Poison Spider like champs.

Sarah is a really good driver and not afraid of a little obstacle.

There she is!
She’s awesome. And funny too.
Many laughs around the campfire.

I was serious about her hammock mounts on her bumper. Genius. I have a hammock and I can count on less than one hand the times there was a handy place to use it.

The time has finally come. This Saturday at noon MST trail selection will open for those who are registered, and you should have received an email this afternoon with more info. In case you didn't see it, I pasted the message below including details about our new scheduling platform called Sched which will be a massive improvement from the manual spreadsheets we've used in the past.

On Saturday morning, we're going to sending email invitations so you may select your trails for Cruise Moab 2019. We're going to send these in the order that people registered for this year's event (so people who signed up when registration first opened will get first pick). We'll start at 9 am MT and finish sending invitations by 12 Noon MT. Keep a close eye on your inbox on Saturday morning!

The email invitation will be sent to the same email that you registered with (and the same one at which you received this email you're reading right now).

The email will come from notifications@sched.com. You may want to whitelist this email to make sure it doesn't go in your junk folder.

When you receive the invitation, you can sign up for Sched. You can do this on a computer, tablet, or smartphone. There is also an app you can use if you prefer. You can download the app in advance if you like. It looks like this:

If you've used Sched in the past, you won't have to sign up again, but you will need your password. There is no advantage to having used the app in the past -- you won't have access to trail registration until you receive our invitation, just like everyone else.

This may sound complicated, but we've been testing the app for 3 weeks and it is remarkably easy to use. You're going to be very pleased. However, if you have a problem on Saturday, you can email us at registration@cruisemoab.com and we will help you out.

New trails for 2019
As promised, we have exciting news about new trails for this year's event!

First, we are running FIVE overnight runs:
1. Kokopelli Trail group #1 starting on Monday
2. Kokopelli Trail group #2 starting on Tuesday
3. San Rafael Swell starting on Tuesday
4. Lockhart Basin starting on Tuesday - NEW!
5. Rimrocker Trail starting on Tuesday - NEW!

Plus we have added a new Moab-area trail called Cameo Cliffs that we're running twice during the event (on Thursday and Friday).

Of course, we're still running all the old favorites like Hell's Revenge and Golden Spike. Preview all the trails for this year's event

In summary: watch for your invitation for trail selection on Saturday morning.

Need to cancel?
If you must cancel, until April 1 we'll refund all your money minus any credit card processing fees that we cannot recoup. Please let us know asap by emailing registration@cruisemoab.com.

Still need a campsite?
We are offering primitive camping right at the Old Spanish Trail Arena. It's not scenic but it's cheap! Register here for primitive camping at the Old Spanish Trail Arena.

For more camping options that will be significantly nicer (but not as cheap), here are the details.

We're looking forward to seeing you in Moab!

Help me figure out my trail choices, please. Only day trips for the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. Thinking 5-Intermediate, and below. Based on that, what would give me the best coverage of what Moab has to offer, considering the family may be along for some of it?
Here's what I'm thinking:

2nd- Fins and Things.
3rd- Dome Plateau
4th- Seven Mile Rim

Those are fun trails.
What is done to your vehicle (mod-wise)?
Fins has some.... fins that'll scrape stock bumpers up.

Just KO2 one size up from stock, lift (have a lot of rake), and sliders. Not too worried about scrapping, as long as the bumpers stay on the vehicle. :)

You'll be good then!
If it's your first time and you're coming in from VA, try to make it down to Valley of the Gods, Bryce, and Zion if you have time. If no time, Arches and Canyonlands (close to Moab) are a must see.
It'll be a blast. Bummed I can't make it.
Southern Utah is amazing.

Looking forward to it! Just signed up for the Tue-Thur Kokopelli run and Chicken Corners on Friday with the wife behind the wheel. We're gonna play it by ear on Saturday... considering Onion Creek, exploring the La Sals, hanging around the national parks, or doing a day trip along White Rim Road.

I’m in. Signed up and reserved my runs. Let’s do it, boys!

:steer:

I'm GTG. I'm leading the Tuesday Kokopelli double overnight in the 200. On Friday my 18 y.o. daughter will gun Chicken Corners on the Woman Drivers only run, and she will lead Chicken Corners on Saturday (both Friday and Saturday in the 200). :) I'm a proud dad.

At least one more 200...

:steer:Tuesday—Thursday Kokopelli...
Then chose a couple trails I’ve not done before..
:steer:Friday: Porcupine Rim...
:steer:Saturday: Jax Trax.... (if that trail group fills up, I’ll probably open my spot to someone else and wing it...)

Looks like we’ve got a full Kokopelli 200 Crew!
See y’all soon...

I’m leading Hells on Thursday and my wife is leading Chicken Corners on Friday. Hope to see a bunch of 200s this year!

I’ll be with you on that run. Never ran it before so am a bit nervous. Looking forward to it.

Woohoo! We look forward to meeting you on Kokopelli!

Hey @mcgaskins !

Man I have to say... the Sched app and implementation is incredibly slick!!

The only question I had using it was that I wasn’t sure whether creating a schedule on the app also reserved the spots at first...but that became clear when I found a trail that was full and was denied adding it.

That tiny uncertainty aside... WOW.
Some incredible organization going on there.
I would imagine it will also massively relieve headaches in keeping track of driver cancellations...and also the ability to cancel a trail and switch to another without messing up printed lists, or pestering officials at the event.

Anyway— Kudos!
