So word just came down that I might have to go to Indiana for a month for our stateside related tasking. I still haven't gotten official word if I'll be going or not, but I'm pushing to find out an answer. Backfilling slots for people leaving has been an issue in our staff lately, and that seems to be the reason for it. I have no reason to go to Indiana since this mission doesn't have any need for ammunition, but they might need me to backfill a slot for one of the other supply sections.

Fingers crossed I won't have to go. I'll keep you updated!

Ugh. I hope that you get to stick around here and can still make the trip. I've been looking forward to a great few days of wheelin and camping. Let me know how it turns out.
 
So I'm not on the list to go. I'm going to go ahead and register this weekend. Injectors just got to WitchHunter yesterday, so I should have those back in the next week. Then I should have everything I need to get this thing back together.

I am at slickrock unit 49 (next to some of my friends in the rising sun club) and this is what I am scheduled to do;

TR - Flat Iron Mesa
F - Wipeout Hill
Sa - Cliff Hanger

I will be in Moab from april 25th thru May 3rd

I've yet to register (waiting on one detail from a family member), but I plan on Hells and Cliffhanger. I'll probably head out a little early as well once I get back from my house hunting trip in NY. So if you're up for any additional runs, I would most definitely be in for that. Thinking I'll be heading out the April 27th.

Cliffhanger is definitely a blast. That's a great trail to end the trip on!

Saturday:
Cliffhanger

Kane Creek

Once I get the confirmation email closer to the event, I'll post the trails I was given.

Me too: TR-fins, F-Hells revenge, SA-Kane Creek. We will be sure to catch up with you in the evenings at slickrock!

I'll be wrapping up my front axle service this week and hopefully will get out someplace local (with Bryan?...anyone welcome) to make sure everything is good to go to Moab soon.
 
Got it. Leave the extra gas at home and bring more beer! I'm on board.

FYI, I'm bringing my little grill along with a stove stove (part of camper) and Cameron is bringing his Disco cooker, as well. You are welcome to use any of the above, if you need to.
 
I'll bring a couple pudgy pie makers (that's Wisconsin slang. No idea what they are actually called.) You put bread and filling in it. Cooks over the fire.

But yes. Extra beer.

And it looks like ill be leaving early Wednesday with my trip to NY.

When are you heading out again?
 
I'm heading out early Wednesday, as well. We can meet someplace and drive up together if you want to, but you are going to outrun me in that diesel truck. I'll be towing the popup with my 3FE:eek:

I still can't decide if its better to take 50 over monarch pass or to just take I70 and piss a few more people off with my slow speed.

Well, I'd go with what the weather dictates. Either way, I'll probably blaze ahead and snatch a camp site. 50 isn't bad, I thought it was fun snakin along the Arkansas (even with a 20ft trailer).

I'd stick with 50 to save the abuse on the 80. 70 if you just want to save the time.

And if youre worried about pissing people off on 70, don't. Everyone drives slow as hell on that road.
