I will not know how much free space I will have until tomorrow morning when we pack the truck... the trailor is always 100% full... I'm also planning a direct route back to Vancouver after the event. how big of tent and fridge???

Kevin, none of us are towing. I still don't know if I'm taking my trailer - probably not at this point. I'll be loaded down pretty good as is.... sorry.

The Tent is H 15cm L 2m W 35cm it's packed in a bag, the fridge is H 20.7" W 28.1" D 17.9" Sliders are 22" wide and about 6'7" long or so ..

i have this out on mudship as well I'm going to blackhills in july so if i can't get these items now i will get them in july.

I might be able to do everything but the sliders, they are too big. I'm in Cranbrook so that's way better for you than Vancouver or Victoria. I sent you an e-mail with contact info.

Quick Report

Drew and I stayed Wed night at Emigrant Springs State Park, 26 m south of Pendleton OR. ( showers there, but was cold and damp - still snow around). From there we pushed to Willard Bay State Park, just north of Salt Lake City (thurs nite). That is a nice park - has a marina ( take Exit 351 for South Marina Park). Fuel has been $3.35 through WA and OR, now its 3.15 gal. Rain all the way down. I am in Price UT - waiting for Drew and his Dad to show up. Its finally warming up and a bit sunny. The gearing and tires are working great - averaging 25 mpg (imp) over last 1,300 miles, including Victoria (2200 2400 RPM) .We head into the desert this afternoon to explore the San Rafael Swell north of I 70, before going to Blanding to meet the CSC group. Will be nice to get off the Interstates.

Since I see Drew lurking in here tonight:
I'm outta here tomorrow AM. I got about 1/3 of what I hoped to get accomplished... accomplished.
No trailer/RTT, boost/pyro gauges, winch, or HF radio.
I DID get a functioning 3rd 12V battery system with constant and switched 12V sources, and a pretty decent stereo in. Man that ate some time!

So I'm sleeping on the ground but I have tunes for the ride - i guess that's a fair trade off :grinpimp:

Next time's gonna be different...

... yeah right :D

See ya wednesday at BFE!

Safe travels Norm, and everyone!

For that long trip, I'd take good tunes over an RTT any day. You only sleep max 8 hours a day anyway.

Have a safe journey, too bad you didn't get everything done but I hope it's still a good trip. Drew sent me a text that he arrived safely and was doing 3 days of off roading fun before the big event. Say hi to him and can't wait to see the pics and hear the stories.

In Mountain Home, ID tonight and Moab tomorrow!

Thanks dudes.

Best border crossing in history today. Nexus lane past the line of suckers, straight up to the guard - who only wanted to know if I had anything to declare and what kind of ham radio I had in my truck! Sent me on my way without even asking where I was headed. Nexus RULES!

I am monitoring 146.460MHz and should be reachable from Moab using High power... depending on how deep we are in the canyons... I am also monitoring 7272 kHz most of the day.

I dropped my trailer off in area BFE last night so you should be able to locate where I will be camping.

See everyone soon

quick report

Its fanfriggintastic down here. The Copper State Cruisers guys are a great bunch - lots of joking about - diversified group - lots to talk about - great wheelin' and awesome scenery. Lots of rocks and sand- traction never and issue but rocks are the issues- lots of em'. Spent time in Canyon Lands - could spent weeks in there. Tomorrow we do the teck inspection.

The drive down here in a slow cruiser is a real pain - but worth it once you are here. lots of FJ and gas 80's down only a 40 and my 74 so far of the old rigs. I had coffee in shorts and t-shirt at 8:00 am this morning and used my AC all day. They are talking about a weather change but I am positive it will be still fine. Elephant Hill is a blast. Glenn

I'm just outside of Provo. The wind was HOWLING all day, and rain on and off. Glad to hear the weather's better there.

See you tomorrow, save me a camp spot!

:lol:Oh how times have changed I guess, when a 89 BJ74 with AC, power steering, 5 speed, and power everything is considered an old rig.:hillbilly:

If you find my trailer there should be a few spots around there to setup as long as no one else has moved in... I'll be there for Tech tomorrow AM and will be heading out for a trail run in the afternoon... how knows... its only a 3.5 hour drive... you might make it before we head out on the trail again

ok so where are the pictures?????
Here are another few... and you can find more in this thread https://forum.ih8mud.com/az-copper-state-cruisers/380518-cruise-moab-2010-pictures.html
