where the hell you been?I might be a bit of a purist, but I won't buy a "1911" with an external extractor because it isn't a 1911.

well I'm not a gun nut, but I certainly like most of the sig products I've seen in person, and the 228 I own. I personally don't know enough about the pros vs cons of the extractor design. What sets the grounds rules for a 1911 style pistol? Some changes from the original design I"m sure might be considered improvements...but I'm out of my league on that discussion.
The other part of the equation...at least for me is ...$$ and so about 1K or something around that number is the max for the weapon in question.
Man...Life. Got a little one now...
What?? Congrats and welcome back! How old is the chirren?
you hope and congrats!2 weeks today. Baby boy. I understand that I'll be able to sleep in about 5~ more months.

Preach it. Sig doesn't have a spec slide either, if that bothers you. Some people are anal about a "1911" being to spec. Of course, if it ain't Gawd's Caliber, it ain't squat..... duh.
Yeah, i mentioned about the sig slide in my second post on the subject.
Find a good used Wilson combat or spend the money and buy new. Fine pieces of weaponry. That being said, I wouldn't be scared of a SIG. Most all these "purists" didn't know about guns until it became "cool"and Nintendo 64 wasn't.
Your original reply was funnier.
