If you are looking for a cheap, reliable semi-auto 12 gauge; then you'd be hard pressed to beat this one. I bought one for my brother as a christmas present last year and he has used it for a duck season and a half with good results.

Fit and finish is kinda rough, but has performed reliably so far.

It's "strong, like bull!"

Thomas's post gave me an idea. Would yall keep a lookout for a gun that has a lot of sentimental value for me:

1972 DU Remington 870. Specifically serial #404, which was stolen around 1985. My dad won the gun in my name just before I was born. Likely long gone but I thought I'd put it out there.

Wow.. Would be cool to get it back. Do you know if it was reported stolen? I'll keep an eye out.

Excellent choice. I don't think you will regret that decision.

Thanks. Looking forward to it arriving soon. It was a little more than I wanted to spend but I think it will end up being a good decision.

Details on the CMP store?

Cool place. The cheaper $450-$650 M1 have been picked through. They had some of the more expensive one's in stock.

Marksmanship 22's and plenty of drill M1 in stock.

400 rounds of 30.06 Greek made $197.

I have always wanted a M1, to many W.E.B. Griffith books and GI Joe's I guess....
