new toy

My new toy arrived today. Its a Smith & Wesson M&P 15-22. It's built from the ground up as a dedicated 22 AR. I have an itch to buy a real AR so I thought if I like this, then I can step up. If I don't, then I am only out 450 instead of 1400. Plus, it's only about .07 a round instead of 1.00+. Much cheaper practice...

My local WalMart just got in a small stock of Russian steel cased Tula Ammo in 7.62. If I read the tag right it's just under $.30/round in 20 round boxes. I could prolly get several boxes over the next few days and bring them to the Boil if any AK shooters want/need some cheap ammo.

Or why not just have both? Get a CMMG .22 conversion kit, and never look back.

They are going between $600-$700 right now. I have about $640 in this one. I'd be happy to see $550 from a sale. Comes with a 20 and 10 round mag, and half a box of ammo.

Put her to work....the way the prices move on ammo right now it is a great bet. Sure beats market watching.
