Quality USED Auto 12 gauge for duck hunting?

I am looking for a good used 12 gauge shotgun that shoot 3" and 2 3/4 shells. My very first shotgun was a Mossberg pump and I could never get used to it. I have an old browning Belgium but it is way too nice to take out duck hunting. I have borrowed a gun the last two times I have been hunting: Remington 1100 that only shot 2 3/4 shells and a Remington 1187 that shot both 3 and 2 3/4. I don't have much experience with many other manufacturers.

If you were in the market for one and had 500 to spend, what would you buy?
