While it very well may be useful information to others, they are under no obligation to offer up that information. It's common practice to delete the price after a vehicle is purchased as the amount settled upon is a private matter between the seller and the buyer. This website isn't a pricing index, it's an enthusiast's website for maintaining, restoring, modifying and upgrading these vehicles. This site is 1% or 2% about buying and selling trucks.

EDIT: Look, I don't want to get contentious about it...I just suggest PM'ing the guy and asking...if he's okay with you knowing then he'll tell you. I think it's okay to ask, I just think it's rude and presumptuous to ask "why not" if he doesn't want to say...

There's a number of reasons a buyer or seller may not want that info to be common knowledge:

Maybe the seller doesn't want people to know how much he came down off the original price.
Maybe the buyer doesn't want his wife to know how much he spent.
Maybe they agreed to write the bill of sale for less than actually changed hands to make the DMV registration cheaper.

There may be any number of reasons that we, as casual observers not involved with the deal, shouldn't really feel entitled to know.
I think you may be confusing "I really want to know" with "It's my right to know". That's all.

Trapper50Cal. Did not mean to sound snooty, I personally just didn't see the big deal, you make some valid points though. When I sold my 1996 a few weeks ago I added the price it sold at on my last post in order help others selling or buying as I felt it would be helpful and informative. There were no personal names being used in my post so it was pretty confidential, besides the license plate that is no longer in circulation and the fact that we're talking about a used Toyota and not a house or something. I always loved this particular cruiser and was simply interested as to what it sold it or even what it was first listed at as I am sure others will be in the future. I’ll go through PM though from now on!!:beer:
