I might have been mistaken on the name...I think espressomon had typed the initials to the actual name OF the place. There was just a parker name sticker on the window, so that is just what I called it. Ill fingerprint the products to see if they match yours...Im sure youre in the FBI system somewhere!?:flipoff2:
The TT is march/ april of 2010...I had admired the LOOKS of that rig for a while. That one is acutally a silver. The color Im looking at is slightly darker. Its the Slummit single stage paint. Seeing that rig got me to thinking how cool it looked...recently I got to thinking that damn near everything EXCEPT the tub is black, using the rustoleum appliance paint out of the can, which will make touch ups down the road REAAAAAALY easy.
Plus...going with the silver gray will hide my shotty body work and scratches better than the blue.:hillbilly: In either case...its gonna be a "10ft paint job". That is pretty much all I care about with it as its gonna get scratched and dented anyway.:steer:

Yes: Hydraulic Hose and Fittings is a Parker (franchise) store. The guy that owns it owns several in Central and Northern CA (that would be California Keith :flipoff2:) along with the Sparks NV (Nevada) location.

;p

so by the truck being painted blue with wood grain...

would the blue represent the color of the pill your gonna need, and the wood grain a code word for its purpose... cause by the time this things wheels you are prolly gonna need it....

Ummmmmmm.....yes to all of the above !! :)

Actually the blotch rig ( pictured above) had woodgrain panels.

Yea I remember.

I was just tryin to be funny.

Tank NOT ready again today...
My homey Hector said that if it was NOT done by tomorrow, it'll be FREE!!!
That rectify the situation.:D

Somewhere in your post you had bought some shock brackets that welde onto you rear axle. What company did you get them from they look nice and easy. I tried to go back through the pages but gave up . Thanks

SOOOOO. My friend Michael (waiting for time) has me "eating crow" so to speak. The VERY LAST thing I wanted to do was cut into that floor pan for more sheet metal work, but in the end....It was the BEST thing to do to get that tank to clear. So Michael....You DA MAN!!!:D

Got the baffles cut, welded, the MAIN part of the tank is welded, got it fitted in the rig, cut the floor board...now I have 5.5 in of clearance between the rear most part of the wrap bar in relation to the tank. The rest will be controlled with bump stops. Big day for me!!!!

Practice welds....First time Ive used gas for welding. It took a bit to get adjusted, but...MIGHT be getting a tank of my OWN for my HH 187. I borrowed a Lincolin 110V from one of the club guyz...THANKS WILL!
Worked great.

Baffles...

Getting the tank tacked up...when I had it formed, I requested to have the dimensions ID so I could (as much as possible) get the edges to be welded at a 90*. I also stressed I needed them to be ACCURATE. They did great and it Worked out pretty well.

Pics of the welds.

The sump is gonna sit between the DS and wrap bar. Got some 5x5,.120 wall that Im gonna chop apart. Its gonna be about 12- 14 in long and about 3 in deep at the pick up. Should allow for some reserve. Gotta find the geometric formula to figure out how much in Gal. that will be....:hhmm:

Thanks man. WOW you tank looks good. Never knew you did'nt use gas to weld. Did you just use flux core? I have never welded without gas well what little I have welded (just learning know on my own junk). I was able to by the title to a bottle for 200.00 I think, then I can swap it out for about 30.00 whenever I run out. I have welded a ton with my little bottle and not even close to running out I also have the Hobart 187.Pretty nice little welders.

Multiply the length by the height by the depth then divide by 2 to get volume.

Sooooo... 14 x 5 x 3 / 2 / 231 = .45 gal. Almost half gal. Nice.
Thanks rusty dan!!!

Lol. Thanks man.
Not the popular method, but yes , I've always used flux core. I've loved it too, till I welded this tank without burning through it once. It made it soooo easy. The hh has been very good to me over the years.

Wow, you did a lot of work. Thanks for the credits, but you would've come to the same conclusion your self, it did made my weekend a little better. Just spend all week rebuilding data for my crashed computer, don't like that stuff.:frown:
