Why put a switch in there at all?
It will have an effect but it's hard to predict how much.

The few conversations I had with the Howell guyZ though, they didn't really seem to think it was gonna be that big of a deal, BUT..... To be on the safe side, run the switched wire. I'm curious to find out how it will effect it.
confuse it and make the shifting of the trans a little different is all. at crawl speeds you wouldnt even notice. and for it to develop a memory and try to "adapt" it would have to be for several pro long periods of time.

Progress pics...
Lost of things done, but here are some of the highlights. I had to totally re set the t case shifters. Took a while to get those JUST RIGHT. Also, the Lokar shifter directions were a bit misleading as well. Got em squared away though. My garage looks like a cruiser EXPLODED in it as there are nuts and bolts EVERYWHERE. Half my time is spend trying to find the right nuts and bolts from the past 2 years. s*** I dont know where it came from or what it went to ended up in a bucket, which I just dumped out on the floor so I could pick through it.

BTW...
I REALLY HOPE this thing will shift better when the motor is running and I have oil in the cases, cuz its not fun trying to shift as it is right now.

How many time have you seen people forget to lock their hubs, how often have you forgotten? I would put one contact switch in the system that told the ECU you were in low range, whichever range it might be.

exactly why I said a dash switch. Some things just simply become a mechanical habit.

It looks easy enough to take out the trany hump and add the switches if needed so just get her done already.

You and I both brother! Even Joel was out wheeling in stink pickle down south. only 1 of my friends didnt get out and thats cause he cut the back of his jeep in half to tube it out.
