yeah, make the charcoal canister go to the intake downstream (after) the throttle plate.

Go tot he junkyard and pull the charcoal canister and solenoid off of the same general truck you got the motor out of.

Easy peasy (and cheap) ;)

yup used canister from junk yard line from pump to canister then vent line from canister to intake after the throttle plate exactly like said above.

Not that you would know THIS, but....
would the solenoid even WORK without power to it. Remember, its a NON emissions harness, so I dont think they left me any provisions for that. Suppose I could call Howell and ask them. Spent enough money with them.

I suppose I was thinking that I'd just run the vent from the tank to a canister and then line it off to the intake and it'd be done?

Solenoid will not work with a non emissions computer and harness as it is all computer controlled and monitored. Just run it to the intake and call it done.

You probably still want a check valve in there some where, probably right where the line enters the intake.

FINALLY got the filler DONE!
Tank brackets are all welded up, and the filler neck on the tank is set and welded. Gotta RE pressure test it, and also gonna have to adjust the x member mounts AGAIN. I F*CKED up drilling and welding in the tank filler, so now its just BARELY above the frame rail.:bang::crybaby:
Probably do that when I take the tub OFF. Right now, Im SICK TO DEATH of this tank! Time to move on for now.

Way to go and impressive at the same time. I was following this little saga and thought it was weeks from resolution. It looks fantastic.

Yeah..in light of the discussion here, I was definitely planning for that.

LOL...thanks Andy!
Im ON FIRE now! There is NO STOPPING ME!!!
This bitch is running by July or Aug.!

why didnt you just put the filler in the tub like on the wheel well or something? Woulda been easier.

:flipoff2:

I have been waiting for you to change it so I could say that. I feel better now. Lol

Just to make a correction......It was stated that Land Cruiser fuel caps are not vented. That is only true for models after, I believe, 1971 when they introduced the fuel separator system. From 1962 to 1970 the gas tanks vented through the filler neck and a vented gas cap.

We are here for you...
