So, why bend the shifters in that fashion??

They look drunk :D

I guess the do look a little odd bent that way....
Donno if I'm worried about it that much that I'm gonna change em though.

Leg room for the passenger. That 4 wheel shifter is a bit of a concern for passenger leg room.

I think BEER is the word you were looking for, not bear.

IPad is making corections for me all the time, thanks for correcting.:o

Maybe put them on the same level horizontaly?:hhmm:

Leave them levers like they are I like the way they look. looks customized for the driver to see and reach.

Agree. They look great. I set mine up one higher and 1 lower-the lower one is for low range, so I don't forget.

Thanks boys!
That's what I was thinkin too!;)

The stock tailgate hinges I got WONT work...they will hit the swing out....Found that out last night.:crybaby::bang:
I was able to figure a way to make the STOCK throttle pedal work, though!:D:bounce::bounce2:
Just had to weld a tab on the end of the pedal assembly and it bolted right up.

Finally something easy and I saved about 120 bucks.

Could you post pics of the throttle cable. I have been trying to figure a way to go about that and could'nt come up with anything to many paint fumes I think.

Ill get it for you tomorrow or Sat. Its actually really frickin easy. I got the Lokar 3ft. cable for a vortec, cut down the TOP of the stock pedal rod thing, and welded a 3/16 tab on the end of that and drilled a through hole for the clevis on the cable. Marked center on the firewall where that was at, drilled a hole, ran the cable, DONE!

Man, That would be great if you could get a pic for me. It is one of the nagging things I think about and to knock it out that easy would save a ton of time. Where did you order the cable from like Summit or something. Thanks again

Summit is the place!
It was like 36 bucks. I was a bit worried about it too. Even tried an aftermarket firewall mount pedal that was just NOT going to work even just trying to find placement. I then grabbed the stock pedal and realized THAT was the absolute BEST way to go. Cheap and EASY.

Ill get em posted for you tomorrow.

I go away for a week and all you get done is hooking up the throttle cable?

Slacker. :flipoff2:

LOL...There are many-o-things that have gotten done that I really didnt feel were pic. worthy or really worth mentioning because they are routine, basic things.

The lokar cables are slick ... Spendy but work well. I used them for my throttle and tranny kickdown cable.

Brokenparts...
Did solder the ENDS of the lokar cable where you cut em? when cutting the length, I wasnt diggin the bit of FRAY that happened.

Re made the supports for the Rad. mount. I just FLAT didnt like how I had em. Some dude over in the 40 section used some rod and heim joints, and I thought that was a pretty cool idea. SO I welded some tabs on the fender and on the rad. mount.
Picked up an optima red top. Planning on mounting in the bay where the blower motor and making a bracket that runs from the firewall and bolts onto the fender...anyone think that might not be strong enough?
Wanted to do the fender skirts, cuz a LOT will tie in off of those and would really help in planning routing some of this stuff, but....the steel shop was CLOSED!
Anyone have any ideas of an easy way to run the fender skirts, post up!!! I really am at a loss for that. I was just gonna get some sheet and start forming and cutting.
Also decided that Im gonna do a remote trans. cooler by using one of the B&M e fan and cooler. Theyre pretty spendy, but....so was the trans re build. Im just worried that a standard plate and fin type cooler wont be enough when crawling on the trails.
