:o Sequel, thank you Rusty.

LOL...lost in translation!?!?!?!

NO sequel for me my friend. When and if I DO build another rig, it WONT be a TOTAL re do of EVERYTHING, ALL AT ONCE! Im NEEDING TO WHEEL! Anything I can do a different time around will be in stages to minimize down time. This has been waaaaaay too long.
Funny thing is, my WIFE of all people warned me. She said "you should try to keep the Blotch rig. Everyones gonna be out, and youre gonna be stuck..."
However, I would NOT have been able to DO THIS BUILD if I had not sold that one.

Not saying you will sell this one, just that the build is fun to and this will not be your last build. Next one will take more time I think.;) And of corse be even better.:D

It must be a Nevada thing to take FOREVER to get a dang truck together...

Trap door.
Got all the fittings to plumb the fuel lines, EXCEPT the lines which I needed to order. Using the Summit twist tite stuff. Should be pretty easy and straight forward. HOPEFULLY.

Very nice work.
You do fine things withouth a flow chart.

I think I need one to then, mine is a year on the way and I still need to take the tub off. Does a horse count for a pass.:hhmm:

Back atcha!
LOL...was driving and saw a NICE 45 and was was like..."WHO is THIS?" Got closer and saw YOU.
Rig looks great!

Ill NEVER do this again! IF I ever get rid of this and or it offs itself, ill take the easy route next time around. Once in a life time build. I love it, but Im ready for it to be done!

Thanks for the compliments, the troopy is pretty clean for sure. You'll be bombing down the road soon enough.

ALMOST (in theory) have a means to get fuel to the motor.
Got the Filler neck tacked in today. Was un able to swing using the stock filler neck...it was too many tight bends to snake it through, so I ended up cutting through the fender well.
Pretty pleased with it actually. Its accessible, yet out of the way and takes up minimal storage space. Had to order a weld on bung for the cap though.
Only down side is that when I have a full soft top on, any passenger will have to get out of the rig...Que sera.

so your filler neck is gonna be in the cab? I dont think that to be such a bright idea... can you not move the door or something to another location on the exterior of the body?

YOU dont think something is a BRIGHT IDEA!?!?!?!
Who is this and what are you doing posting under cruisinFJ60's name????
What do you see as the issue?
From stock it was ESSENTIALLY in the cab. If I were to run a fuel cell it would be in the cab, the TANK from the factory with like 4 different connection points was in the cab. I dont see how this set up would be any worse than the original set up?

Well by D.O.T. safety standards a fuel cell would not be legal if the fill point is in the cab too...

What are you gonna do when the stupid thing doesnt click off and s***s gas into the cab area of your truck? its gonna be unbearable in there with any sort of top on at all. think how bad the inside of your car or truck smells when it goes down the outside of the vehicle, now think about pouring some gas in your back seat.... gonna be horrid. also the tank with multiple connecting points doesnt leak from the factory (yours shouldnt either obviously) which is why the multiple points of connection are ok.

but something your factory tank does do that this one will not do is vent outside of the cab. that filler neck being in the truck just has horrible written all over it and I would avoid it at all cost.

I mean you are doing all this work to just (im my opinion) cut corners to do what is easy on something fairly important VS taking the same amount of time you have on so much other stuff.

I have to agree with CruisinFJ60 on this one. Why not bend some tube to the side and make the cap there. You don't need to use rubber as it doesn't need to be flexible at that point.
I get the impression you will be high on wheeling so you don't need the fuel fumes for the extra buzz.:hhmm::D

HMMMMM...I see your point. :hhmm:
Just to be clear...I really did not consider THIS to be cutting a corner, per se, to make it easier. There is just really NO feasible way to run that filler ANYWHERE ELSE than where it is. ANYWHERE else around the the tank would either interfere with the rear tire, the exhaust or run up into the cargo area.
One thing I COULD do is completely cut out that down slope of the fenderwell, run the tubing, the re make the skin AROUND that fill tube.
To be totally honest, I dont see the way I did it pictured above to THAT BAD. Its not ideal by any means, nor did I think it was, but more of an OKAY compromise. The one point you DID bring up was re. the "DOT" approval. NOTHING about this tank is DOT rated. With that being the case when it comes time for me to register this mofo, I DO WANT to keep ANY ATTENTION AWAY from that fact from the refs. IF they see that filler stickin out there like that, that could be like a TARGET to sniff around more.
Ill look at it a bit closer, but where its AT is about the ONLY place it can go, but maybe I can tweak it.

Thanks for the input!
