Don't let the great get in the way of the good, if you know what I mean. I'd love to do Fordyce with you this year if the snow ever melts.

I've been thinking, I need to get my 40 back on the trail too...

I know EXACTLY what you mean by this. To go even further...I have developed a phrase when fabricating, "the ENEMY of GOOD is BETTER!"
This rolls through my head when Im getting to the point when Im fitting something and its GOOD, but I try to make it BETTER and its right about THAT TIME that I **** it all up. So I chant that mantra when I getting to that point. Im getting to that point in the build as well, without cutting major corners.

However, all that being said...You guyz giving me crap yesterday...helped light a fire under my A$$. So Im gonna start hitting it HARD. Sacrifice some other "free" (gym) time I have to spend more time on this.

So I appreciate the goading!:D:flipoff2:

Do I hear a violin in the background? Seems I have heard this sob story before.

No violin...just the sound of me openin a can of WHOOP ASS BIEOTCH!!!!:D

You don't have to go to the gym chicago, just take a breather from welding steel onto your truck by lifting the steel you are about to weld on next. See, workout and work done!

Re did the mounts on the tank. Since the filler is gonna sneak through the frame and the tub on the PS NEAR where the stock filler is, I NEEDED to be able to slide the tank AWAY from the frame rail in the opposite direction for it to work.
Cut a hole for the trap door I need to build to EASILY access the pump and fittings.
Cut the rear 1/4s too.:D Comp cut of sorts...it now feels like I need to ADD some steel to the front.

Rear 1/4 cut
The DASH...half tempted to just start hackin it and re making that FUGLY hole that I cant find anything to do with.

That just might be the problem. This could be the first years in a long time where you actually have to wait until PG&E drops the water level before you can get across the rivers. Or way late in the season.

Ummm Fordyce.

Amen brother, me and :princess: still really, really miss that trail.

It is not all about the destination, its the journy that makes it interesting.

I would like to hear all of your comments; ]How long will it take for this "once in a lifetime build" to get a sequence, after it is finished.;)

What do you mean by sequence?

Looking good, taking some notes for my sump pump for next year, just got to concetrate to get it on the road first !

Did you figure out what are you doing for a tach-o-meter yet ?

I don't kow where would be a good spot, perhaps the horizontal bar on the MT cage above the dash pad ?

Daniel...
For the tach, Ill be getting the trail candy console, so that has provisions for the tach, speedo, fuel, oil, water and battery (if wanted). Pretty nice little unit for 69 bucks. Gauges are pretty spendy. I was surprised to be honest. Im also gonna add a trans temp gauge for safety sake since Im running the auto.

Trail Candy LLC-Put a little Candy in your rig

They have MANY styles for the cluster and you can purchase the blinker lights and e brake indicator. Pretty slick. I had found a different one, but this person was NOT a mud vendor, and someone else reminded me of these guyz.
