I have the unfortunate position of knowing exactly what you are going through---however it seems that your luck has been a bit better than mine. I bought a 67 FJ45 down in AR and have been trying to find a carrier for over two months--working with five different companies. No one wants to go to from AR to Central OR---I finally found a carrier---however they thought the rig was an FJ40 not FJ45 and had planned on something the size of the FJ40--this after already going to AR to pick the truck up. Needless to say with Diesel prices as high as they are and me unable to find another transport company they strapped half the truck onto the 18 wheeler and with any luck the other half that is hanging in the air wont cause the entire truck to fall off. In addition they wouldn't even bring the truck to Central OR I have to go get it in Portland. I think if Diesel prices get any higher I will be picking up the next vehicle in person because no one will be willing to transport these older rigs. With any luck I may finally get to see my truck in person around the 14th of this month. So if your peeing your pants only after a couple of days of waiting for your truck imagine what my pants are filled with. :bang:

Here it is. Its well used, but drove straight for 45 miles... engine hums but couldn't really get over 55 without really winding it up.

I like it... should be fun to drive... I'm not going to restore a thing on it for a while.... just drive it here and there.

there are more here 1967 FJ45 LPB

Sooooo Cool! I agree, don't paint it. It has great patina. Enjoy it like that.. Hope to see it soon!

He used to drive that thing around with a ladder over the headache rack and a tarp over a bunch of junk in the back, often towing a trailer... His business card said _____ Armstrong - Laborer..
I wondered if he ever cleaned the stuff in the back out as it always looked kind of the same.
Neat-O man. Did the bed come from Cruiser Parts in Grants Pass, or did he say?

Oh yea, its beat up... Today I drove it in the rain and water came in through the bottom of the windshield... there are paint chips all over the truck... its very cool. I like the patina look, but one day I'll get a bug and clean it up. Its got surface rust where the paint chipped but meh... I like it... Seats are in great shape and there is this divider thing for the seats.. I posted it in one of the pictures, I don't think its stock.

I've got it parked in the garage with the LV now... I think the garage is complete... for now. I need to get that LV going so I can work on the truck one day.

Anyways.. off to Dallas tomorrow... will get to know the LWB better this weekend... expect more pics then.
